    OP it would be nice if you could confirm that all orders from this deal had shipped or not, or where they haven't shipped, what you are doing about getting them to where they need to be in a reasonable time (like potentially sending via express shipping, for example)

      Hello Misterpotatomato,

      All orders are currently being roasted and packed. With a small team and an unprecedented response, you may have to be a little bit more patient with us than usual.

      We have all hands on deck at our warehouse currently and all Melbourne Metro orders are being hand delivered by members of our staff. I myself just returned from country Victoria to Melbourne Metro and have only just finished a round of deliveries at 9pm.

      Tomorrow, Tuesday the 3rd of November, is a public holiday and many of our staff will not be working, please be patient with us.

      I can assure you we are doing everything within our power to get you your freshly roasted coffee in a timely manner and I apologise for the delay.

        Thanks for getting back to me. I suppose the considerations for next time would be around communication around delays to orders. It's okay if stuff is going to be late but realistically with 1000s of orders it sounds like there is no practical way you could have got them all out the door in a reasonable time.

        Plus also, timing such a huge deal so close to a weekend and a public holiday which would have further excarbated shipping delays or roasting etc. All topics that probably would do well to consider for future deals.

        On more of a personal note I do genuinely feel for you guys. Only freshly out of lockdown in Melbourne and now roasting beans and delivering orders around the clock 😥. Hope you guys get to rest after this.

    Hello OzBargain Fam!

    Firstly, I would like to thank you for your orders. The sheer amount of orders was unexpected and also very flattering.

    We are working very hard to fulfil your orders in the most timely manner possible. We have had to roast coffee specifically for these orders which has held us up a little bit.

    We have had 1000's of orders (and thank you so very much, we feel the love!) and we are still only a small roastery. We have all hands on deck this week in our roastery to get your orders packed and shipped.

    You will receive an email once your order has been booked for post or delivery with one of our friendly team members.

    Please keep in mind that tomorrow is a public holiday for us here in Melbourne and many of our staff will be having a very well deserved break!

    We are sorry if your order hasn't been shipped as quickly as we would have liked, but in order to deliver you the quality of coffee we pride ourselves on, we needed to roast that freshly for you.

    Received my order this morning, no shipping notification as they are hand delivered. haven't tried the coffee yet as I still got 1kg+ left at home but the t-shirt material is thick and stretchy, very impressed with the quality!!

    OP - feel for you, however with so many other coffee beans deals recently, you can turn something that's turn to crap to gold by thinking about: compensating those that have purchased and are still waiting with a unique code/offer (successful companies offset the bad-will caused with goodwill).

    You might think this will cost you some $ (which it will), but you'll gain more repeat buyers than if you didn't do anything (I for one will go in the later group for instance).

    Don't forget the cost of getting new customers > the cost of losing existing customers

    Anyway, it's your call whatever you choose …

    Hi team,
    Manager of the OP here to shed some light and our current situation and order status' for those of you yet to receive shipping info, let me make a few points:

    1. Firstly, thank you to each and every one of you who has placed orders with us since Wednesday. We are a small business and a small team and your orders are appreciated! We absolutely did not expect the response we've had to this sale (our SPOOKY40 code was used over 800 times- as a comparison our last 35% off code was used 70 times). You guys are awesome!

    2. We are hand delivering as many of the Melbourne metro orders as we can to avoid having to rely on couriers. If you're Melb metro based and haven't yet received shipping info its likely that your order is with one of our drivers and will be with you by the end of the week.

    3. There have been some delays in dispatching orders due to the HUGE number of orders placed, we are into the 1000's across ozbargain, FB and instagram marketing and only 5 team members working on roasting, bagging, packing, dispatching AND delivering your orders (all while looking after our existing wholesale clients as well). Some of you may have received deliveries by OP herself Sunday, Monday night and Tuesday - yes, she's awesome and she spent her whole Melbourne cup public holiday delivering your orders!

    We are doing our best to get these out the door and into your homes as soon as we can, please be patient with us as we work through them all.

    1. There will also be post delays as Australia Post in VIC are absolutely slammed as we were still under stage 4 restrictions with no retail up until last week.
      Also, as many of you are unhappy with service from Fastway couriers in the past, we generally don't use them for online orders anymore as per your feedback.
      Meaning Aus Post is our next best option and they can be slow at times (you can track your order via their website).

    2. If your order has a special request- ie. choosing what goes into your Mystery Box, choosing a particular single origin for your Iso pack, 1 decaf, 1 BLK 1 WHT in your bulk pack etc. these types of requests while we are happy to accommodate where we can, WILL cause delays as we will need to roast specifically to fulfil these types of requests.

    3. Please remember, we always give the ozbargain community larger discounts than the "general" public. For example with this sale, you guys were given SPOOKY40 for 40% off. Everyone else received 35% off, we are here to offer you guys the best possible deals, and the best possible service in the best possible timeframe.

    4. Please bear with us over the next few days as we pack, deliver and dispatch the last of them. And remember that we are not able to pack orders if we are constantly chasing up shipping enquiries, rest assured we have received your order and we are working on it. Some of you may have received emails from me after hours tonight with responses to your enquiries.

    AGAIN, thank you for your orders.

      I'm in Metro Melbourne and yet to receive my order - am just about to head out the door and purchase more beans as I thought I'd given a reasonable time to have it get to me. There's no been update with shipping info either….

      As much as I appreciate the order delays, acknowledgement of my purchase with an email advising there are issues would have made my customer experience a little better and a little more forgiving than having to come in here and see this update here….. :/

        Yeah I bought the 3kg + cup but didn't specify which coffee beans I wanted so I emailed to say which ones I was after but no response back. I assume it went through. Also Melbourne Metro.

    Just received my order now (Sydney).
    Only complaint is one of the coffee bags wasn't sealed properly and a portion of beans spilled into the satchel bag, which coincidently also a tear in it when I received it (despite the compostable satchel bags being very environmental which I love, this is feedback about the strength of them I guess).
    Otherwise made a very decent shot from what I could salvage from the bag (just over a week from roast date perfect degassing period).
    Added to my list of rotational coffees I'd buy.

        It was a 250gm bag and it's not really worth it to ship another bag out to satisfy my complaint. It's more feedback to prevent future problems and so you can have more happier customers in the future :)
