Do I need this for no reason at all? Guys please tell me no. I already bought the G304 for $40 for no reason at all.

Help me and my keyboard/mouse addiction

    • +1

Don't do it, it's a trap. I should know i have one of these sitting here not being used.

      • +3

Because it's bad or because you're a sucker like me? Just send me yours bro

        • Kinda into mice and love trying them all and buy way too many of them haha

The shape is good for my grip but i personally do not like the thumb rest on the left side it makes my aim off since i use my thumb to add more control to my aim and since it's lifted off the pad my aim isn't as good.

The trap is wanting to buy more mice haha.

          • @Axelstrife: It is a trap. Next time I'll buy it. When I'm not waiting for stuff from Prime Day still hahahah

            • +1

@Dvbargain: Haha, im currently waiting for Logitech to release their new G Pro wireless Superlight which will be like $200-$250

              • @Axelstrife: I don't spend that much Bro, I'm a true tightass. Using a Nixeus I got for $25 as a main mouse with the G304 as a side gaming mouse. MX Master 2S for a main though which cost $100+ but….I used a gift voucher hahaha

I do have another mouse coming from Prime Day though lol, Razer DeathAdder essential from memory

    • Same here bro, I bought a g305 on prime day, then a mx master on prime day, now this!!! Really want to buy it for no reason

      • how much was the g305 on prime day? was i the white of black version?

        • I think it was 43.43

    • That’s what brings us here. We are OzBer!

I am in the same situation. But I have made up my mind not to buy one after only using the same mouse for months. But bargainer’s life still continues ain’t it, so I decided only buy some limited editions so that I would feel that bad seeing them unused for decades. ;)

    • There's a simple way to help curb your addiction: become a left-mouser! Trust me, your options will become so limited in short order that you'll stop buying every new mouse that catches your eye. :)

      • I wouldn't inflict that on myself either haha

    • Honestly, I have G304 and its like the best wireless mouse I've used.
I dont think you need another wireless mouse if you already have G304

      • +1

I actually agree I really like it, but it's the only good wireless gaming mouse I have, so in principle I want another

      • how that compare to the gpw ?

    • Its much better than G304. I have both and 304 is sitting in a drawer.

      YMMV

  • Looks like a good mouse at a good price, design wise looks like a rip off of my old G602 (which I still love)

    • Different shape, doesn't fill the palm anywhere near as much.

  • +1

Why is the Mamba double the price of the Basilisk?

  • Is this compatible with spreadsheets?

    • +1

Sure, but it depends on your use case. Do you work on giant spreadsheets that require tons of scrolling? If so, look at the Logitech MX Master, it's got a scrollwheel that goes insanely fast and is built for exactly this kind of job. If you move around the cells a lot and aren't a Keyboard Jockey then a decent gaming mouse with fast, accurate tracking will be good.

      • +2

I second this, my MX Master broke last month so I snagged this Basilisk on sale. Much prefer the Master for spreadsheet work.

This scroll wheel is… good for changing guns maybe. I wouldn't know because I haven't played a game for so long :(

      • I'll stick with me trusty Logitech MX510 for now then.

      • If the MX Master is out of your budget or too large, check the Logitech Triatholon M720. Has the free scrolling wheel and decent ergonomics, but can be readily found for around $70.

Own an old gen 2 MX Master as well as the M720. The Master is nicer, but M720 is good too. Bit smaller so that’s the one I travel with.

I wouldn’t pick the Razer for office tasks personally as I prefer the Logitech wheels for desktop stuff. I do own the Basalisk too and use it for gaming.

    • this mouse doesn't have free smooth scrolling

  • I rate it, have 2.4 single on home pc and use Bluetooth on laptop, there’s a switch to changeconnection and turn off, had for 2 months and haven’t changed battery yet and heavily used.

    • It’s simple only 2 bottoms on one side I use for gaming and dpi one I leave it as dpi..

  • This is a good price.
I bought one of these when it was first released. It's quite light and plasticky feeling. I use it on my other computer, and kept using my MX Master on my main computer.
You might have a different preference though.

    • So guessing still rate MX Master? Missed out on last deal and deciding whether to wait or pull the trigger on this one. No gaming just office use for me

      • For work on my main computer, yes, I prefer the feel and buttons/wheels on my MX.
I suppose a smaller and lighter mouse may be better for gaming.
        YMMV

  • Bought around the same price, elegant and good grip (small fat hands).

  • Don’t need it still bought it

  • Got one. Been using my trusty and still flawlessly working Logitech G502 Proteus for a number of years now and I wanna go wireless this time.

    Thanks OP.

      G502 Lightspeed is calling…

      • +1

Doesn't the Lightspeed suffer from a known issue that causes double-clicks after a while? I seem to remember lots of people taking about it

  • A lot of reviews mention issues with connection and drop outs. Might steer clear of this one.

    • yep, i'm agree, there is something wrong with the connection, my pc is under the table (2cm thickness) and i plug the dongle at the back so the distance is around 70cm, and i'm using 2.4 wireless for connection.

    • Mines been fine over the 2.4ghz receiver. Bluetooth I had issues, but that was while I was also using Bluetooth audio and I think it was a bandwidth issue.

  • I have one and im pretty happy about it.I don't have experience with alot of gaming mouse to benchmark against.

  • I was tempted but the poor reviews showing usage on macos scared me away.

  • I have the g304 and not really happy with it. The grip on the sides is average, at best.
    Thinking of swapping to this

  • +2

If anyone wants feedback - Feels really light and plasticky compared to my old G602. But at least it doesn't double left click. Bluetooth connection works well, my work laptop is so locked down the 2.4 USB doesn't work.

    • How loud are the clicks compared to 602?

  • Anyone else been having issues with orders not arriving from Amazon US lately? Contacted Amazon and they issued me a refund straight away… still a bummer though.

  • Anyone here have both this and the g502? I'm currently using th let wired g502 and love it, but if this is as accurate and has a similar shape/size I would like to try out a wireless mouse. - provided the connection is reliable

  • +1

Get it, works well… shoved in my bag daily used on 2.4 and Bluetooth no dramas

  • I only play League of Legends, I've been using a $20 Microsoft mouse for ages, wouldn't mind an upgrade, is this any good?

  • I wish they had a white version of this.

  • Is there a strore where I can try all these different razor mouse? :-/ JB hifi doesn’t seem to have them on display

  • +1

This price is not accurate. It comes to $80 AUD plus 21.17 shipping even with prime.
