Note: AliExpress now accepts payments via PayPal

Wow! The day has finally come 😲🤯

    • +2

      About time!

    • +3

is paypal buyer protection still valid on aliexpress?

      • +2

Would like to know this too, cause I can only assume there's gonna be a tonne of claims

      • I can't imagine them treating it any differently from doing a charge back through the bank. At least PayPal is a hec of a lot easier to make a claim.

    • +4

Great news for PayPal return. Coz sellers ask send the faulty item back to China

      • i tried to return a dashcam once and they gave me return address of Sydeny and free shipping to sydney.

        • +1

Lucky you - the exception is always better than the rule :-)

        • +1

They gave me free returns once apon a time, then support denied refund for non delivery, then support said it was delivered, then support said I never provided a tracking number. Good ol "buyer protection" protecting nothing but their own money.

          • @RandomFox: so you didn't provide a tracking number?

without tracking number, it is hard to argue your case

            • +2

@pinkybrain: https://i.imgur.com/zFkiQMa.png I had the tracking number and it was clearly delivered and I showed it to them multiple times. First they said it was delivered and to chase refund from seller and if unsuccessful come back to support.

Seller ignored. Support that had previously said they seen it was delivered then told me I didn't provide tracking when they were shown it multiple times and provided the very return.n label I used. They simply didn't want to be out of pocket after releasing funds to seller.

  • +4

Awesome, this will help counteract the massive price increases that happen just in time for the sale!

    • -1

Actually if you look at the site now, you can see current price and the discounted price that it will be on sale day. They are cheaper on sale day, not more expensive. It's Aliex not ebay.

  • +1

shoutout to all the singles out there

    • +7

this is compensation for being ugly

      • +2

I'm good looking but choose to be single because I'm really tight.

        • +1

          #metoo

        • +1

You can still play around with tinder

        • +1

lolz … now i understood all those Belong deals 😅

        • +1

          I'm really tight.

          ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

      • A small pittance for our eternal suffering UwU

    • Oh is that the significance of the 11.11 thing and the promo codes?

I was thinking it was a bit odd and perhaps a little disrespectful to hold sales and promotions for remembrance day..

      • +2

yes lol, it's China's black friday known as "singles day"

  • I wonder if this will void CR.

    • depends if CR will list these codes or not

  • +2

Not holding my breath as most of the code did not work last year.

  • There's plenty of $6 off $50, $3 off $20, $10 off $100 and lots of other coupons floating around in-app via games and popup promos for those who don't want to roll through codes on the day.

Was hoping to see something more like $20-$25 off $150, but more to come, no doubt.

  • hmmmm time to order that sick AX3600 Xiaomi WiFi

    • I like this one better

      • nah. stick to this

      • these jumped up in price $22.50 and $5.60 respectively today

    • -1

You trust your WiFi with a Chinese company like Xiaomi? That's a bold move.

  • Pretty good promotional sale prices coming up on 11th, too.

  • How does their combine shipping work? If I buy multiple but different items from the same store, will they offer combined shipping like ebay?

    • Often yes if you choose the same shipping type, but not always. You will see when you go to checkout the items from that store.

  • +1

I wouldn't buy if you need the item in the near future, however if you are patient enough to wait three months or more then go for it. Ali has been really bad since Covid and they ignore their own policy which is weird, they don't resolve disputes by their own dates and sides with the seller.

    • +1

I've never had a problem getting a refund if items arrive after the guaranteed time. I've probably got around 20-30% of my purchases refunded in full because of this.

    • Yup. I've been waiting 6+ weeks for an item couriered from Italy.

It must be 100x worse for any China/HongKong shipped items, especially if its being sent e-packet or AusPost.

      • +2

At the moment the delay is more likely caused by AusPost when the order lands here as they're struggling with the sheer volume.

  • Are these codes single use only? I have $1000 purchase coming up so I don’t mind get some good discount

    • Pretty sure single use only.

    • +2

Hope you don't plan to rely on Aliexpress buyer "protection" if the transaction goes awall

      • Long time supplier so all good on my end, they even let me pay using portions when offers like this happens. Hence I was asking if can use it a few times.

  • +1

Can these codes be stacked? and how does the referral work? I am happy to help someone out …. I clicked on the random referral and it sends me to the generic site …

    • +1

Promo codes can be stacked with store coupons only. I set up my referral just now by clicking on links above, so it appears to be working.

Here is a link to Oz Wiki page which explains the Automated Referral System

      • Thnx just DM you to ask for your referral code, hopefully you can put it into good use!

        • Thanks much appreciated :)

      • So no stack with Select Coupons?

        • My bad, store coupons (promo codes) stack with select coupons.

          • @adr8: But does using select coupons invalidate the cashback?

            • @ATangk: Not 100% certain, but select coupons should be fine, promo codes if not listed on the cashback sites may invalidate cashback. The main promo codes SINGLEDAY … are listed at Cashrewards so they should be fine. May be worthwhile asking TA

      • Referee gets USD $24 in coupons.

How good are the $24 worth of coupons?
I read the Oz Wiki page & found “$4 off ($5 Min Spend, New Users)” is this included for Refferee?

I am interested in the coupons which work for any purchase like in this deal.

        Thanks.

  • Where does it say they accept paypal for all transactions…I just added an item to a cart and there is no Paypal option for payment…Paypal only seems to be on US\UK addresses not Oz.

    • At checkout, there's an option to select payment method. See here

      • Paypal not an option on all items it isn't in the payment options for the item I had in my cart

  • Am I right to assume that cashback won't apply with these coupons?

    • Correct, they're not listed on either site.

      • +1

They only list them when they are active from memory.

        • Yeah I think that's what happened last year too.

  • +3

Shopback cashback has been increased for Aliexpress!

    • Shopback says capped at $20, is that per transaction or per account?

      • +1

Cashback is capped at $20.00 per transaction

        • wow! thanks for that, I can make multiple then, thanks

      • Cashback is capped at $20.00 per transaction

  • is there a limit on the cashback you can receive using these codes?

  • +1

    SINGLEDAY4
    working fine

  • +1

SINGLEDAY12 worked for me and used shopback as well as coupon codes are now listed on their site as well

    https://www.shopback.com.au/aliexpress-flash-sale

  • SINGLEDAY7 works.

SINGLEDAY7 and SINGLEDAY10 are with Aliexpress and identified with the Chrome Plug-in.

I tried two of the non-AU ones without success.

  • 12% discount for zero warranty/return service. Not worth it.

  • Can you save these in your account or just enter when placing an order? For some reason i thought you could save them but can't find where.

    • Can't save promo codes and they're usually limited to number of uses so I wouldn't wait too long. The Red Select Coupons can be saved.

      • No worries thanks. Can't think of anything i want right now.

  • Not buying from aliexpress again.
Poor customer service, poorest so far out of all.

  • Where do I enter these coupons?

    • At checkout as promo code see here

      • +1

Thanks. Looked like SINGLEDAY12 is over.

        • Try 15BONUS for USD $15 off $120

          • @adr8: wont get 12% cash back on it?

          • @adr8: Neither SINGLEDAY12 or 15BONUS are working for me on a $140 US spend.

            That ws shortlived…

        • yeah it ran out quickly….

  • The Aliexpress select coupons, they will invalidate CB wont they?

    • Good quesiton, I would like to know also.

  • SINGLEDAY7 no longer available, 4 is.

  • SINGLEDAY10 gone

    • Still working

      • +1

Its not working - limited use

        • Was working when I posted the screenshot will update OP, thanks!

          • @adr8: Yeah accepted the code for me but on checkout was denied.

            Alerabat1111 worked for me.

  • Is it better to pay in USD or AUD?

    • USD if you have a fee free card

      • You are right. I selected AUD via PayPal, but the card I use still charged conversion fee last time.

      • Cheers. I do have a fee free card.

        • I cleared the balance of my Coles prepaid card in my PayPal. I think conversion fee turns up when PayPal passes on the overseas merchant info to the card issuer later.

I do not think conversion fee can be charged when the balance is zero. It would be fun to see what'll happen.

  • My first ever order with aliexpress. Shall see how it goes. Had nfi what was going on, all the coupons, coins, store vouchers.

  • None of the codes now works. I guess this is the end of the discount apart from the 12% cashback

  • Had planned on getting quite a few items I had stocked in my cart, but as voucher codes progressively stopped working soon after launch, I shrunk my shopping list accordingly.

I ended up with just the most necessary of purchases - a suspended Teepee Hamaca Tent… www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001447110217.html

What were the most interesting items people bought?
