IMO very overrated, only average, but good for the price
But a good option to pair with cheap tv's with poor inbuilt sound.
What would be better? a soundbar for the tv or one of these?
You'd get good stereo separation from these but the ranges are a bit muddy, which means that voice can sound a little unclear.
Smaller, cheaper soundbars generally sound tinny and hollow though, so again depends on how much you want to spend.
I use these for a PC, mostly for listening to music in my WFH set up but occasional gaming. Am a bit disappointed I didn't keep the box though, as was going to get return them and get a pair of Amazon Echo Studios instead to get a little more oomf.

I use them for music outside and am really happy with them (whole house audio with Amazon Echo Dots) - FWIW I paid $99 about 18 months ago…for me they're great value.
I bought a pair of these a while ago but the remote control died.
Logitech Harmony Universal remotes have a pairing profile for these for anyone who is interested…..
Can anyone recommend good deals on passive speakers - hasn't been a deal on Voll B50s for quite a while, and not sure that the edifier p17s are of similar quality (missed out on the q acoustics 3010is that were on sale a month or so ago)
Got the P17s for my old man for about $100 at the start of the year, they look good and sound way better than whatever speakers he had previously.
thanks - the volls now $149 and have seen some occasional deals for the p17 around $100 like you paid. Hard to find reviews on the b50 which is a shame.
They're good looking speakers too! I had a look and couldn't really find any reviews other than a couple reddit comments… 30 day money back with $10 shipping is pretty good though.
