Asus VP249QGR 23.8" FHD IPS 144hz Gaming LCD $262.40 @ JB Hi-Fi ($249.28 Price Beat @ Officeworks)

Rang Officeworks Online and Price matched JB Hi-Fi 5 Day Frenzy Sale https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/asus-vp249qgr-24-full-hd-… plus received the 5% off with delivery in 4 days for free zone 1 Melbourne Metro. Got this cheap monitor because it was available, can be put on an old desktop for some low performance gaming and Word-processing.

Has ASUS eye care to help with eye fatigue and is a good size to put on my smaller desk. The panel appears to be similar to AOC 27G2 27" 1ms 144Hz Adaptive Sync Frameless Monitor which reviewed well . I opted for the ASUS https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/asus/vg279q. Others reviews suggest it works well on Free-sync and G-sync (works uncertified.)

DisplayNinja is not an actual monitor review site. It lifts almost all of its content from press releases, other review sites, reddit and forums, crediting almost none of it.

These are the closest thing you'll see to a review:

Same panel, same monitor maker. Basically competes with the AOC 24G2, and sells for this price on the regular in the US.

    • Thanks for the review liniks, seems like with the price reduction I got just what I needed and at a reasonable price.

What I'm saying is, delete the DisplayNinja link entirely, because it's actually a referral/ad-revenue scam.

How did you find it, I think you will get good value based on my research despite missing a saving

I think it's fantastic for the money, I've never played on such a high refresh rate monitor before so it was a good upgrade for me. Colours look nice, minimal bezel, no dead pixels

I'm, glad you are happy. See a few bucks so what its the value you get and I see you are happy. I just got mine. So far so good infact its more suitable for my kids to carry to share when they need a bigger screen on the school laptop. Its nice and light. I have realised I need a bigger screen so the hunt continues. I like all the ports for different machines.

          • @Bootit: Haha thanks for making me feel better about it! If you get any bigger than a 24 inch screen you might want to step up to 1440p

@bork: Thanks for the advice. I did not think of that. Enjoy your screen, maybe some games?
