PS5 will be available for order on Thursday the 12th of november ONLINE ONLY AT ALL STORES

Ordering update: The PS5 console will be available to order online only on launch day, Thursday 12th November, for expected delivery by December 15th. PS5 consoles will not be available for in-store purchase. Please check back for further updates.

            @meteoraman2: My understanding from my order yesterday these PS5 are left over from the launch wave. So they are coming from random stores across the country, Mine was shipped yesterday from a regional town's bigw.

                @meteoraman2: Yea its been pretty crazy, just a heads up Target should be 12pm today. Its meant to have dropped 4 times already since the original time I posted but everytime they seem to push it back.

                    @meteoraman2: Surely it cannot take that long for a company like bigw (Amazon you are also included) to realise that they have more orders than ps5 units. If they have to cancel then proceed they must so we can stop wasting our money (temporarily) and time on dud orders

                      @smarter_fool: Yeah you'd think so. I'd expect Amazon to be a little better than Big W since they are solely online. But it seems as though this has caught all the retailers off guard (even though the demand is no surprise).

                      @smarter_fool: It seems the order is stuck in the account verification stage at bigw. My source tells me that this happens for big value orders and is nothing unusual (viz., iPhone launches etc.) but the turn around time normally is 1-2 days. The next stage according to the source is fulfillment and ship.

                        @smarter_fool: Good news then. Some people may have been lucky and their orders have had someone to start verifying as soon as they came in. I'm probably still going to try Target though just in case. I've got 3 other friends who are wanting one, so I can just give it (well sell it, but just for the actual price) to them if I get 2.

    Hmm just came back to check if anyone else had their payment processed with Amazon (after pre ordering with prime 6 mins after their launch day drop) and I'll I'm seeing is people ordering it today and getting it this month from of all shops, Big W, that's a big dub, I'm just hopeful I can get mine by Dec 9th, BlesstheRNG.

      Yeah, I really lucked out on that with the time I refreshed the page. As soon as I noticed that I could add to cart, I did not hesitate and went through that checkout as fast as possible (thank you auto-fill!).

      I got in on that drop. Changed my delivery speed straight after I ordered to "Priority" and I've had 17th Dec estimated since then. No updates.

      I think I heard JB orders on the 12th November will be available around 8th December (give or take a few days). I'm not sure about the status but assume it will stay like that for you until it has been shipped or ready for pickup.
