  • Get this message when trying to pay with Paypal: "Sorry, the service is currently unavailable, please try other checkout method" shame because i wanted to use up my paypal money

EDIT: never mind, i just had to use the red button instead of the paypal one.

    • I used the normal Shopping checkout option (the red button above the Paypal Express button), but you need an account. It worked for me! Cheers!

  • Cheers, worked for me too.

  • Are these real apple earphones?

    • +1

      I highly doubt it.

The items will be shipped directly from Oversea Supplier by Registered Air Parcel. It take 10-15 working days to arrive anywhere in Australia.

They're probably being drop shipped from China.

  • you guys help ss bin them :)

  • +1

when i saw "ipod earphones" all i saw was the "i" and assumed it was an apple product…
then i read again.. oh right, they're just headphones made for ipods (like all headphones)

    • +1

wowowowo calm down there. not all headphones are made FOR ipods. more like all headphones are made to have a 3.5mm jack which SOMEHOW, ipods have, which all mp3 players also have, and discmans.

      • +3

Don't forget walkmans for those of us still using cassette tapes!

  • so these are not genuine ipod earphones?

    • +5

Why would anyone care if they're genuine or not? They'd struggle to be worse than genuine ones.

      • +2

No. It's actually possible to be worse than the genuine ones, not in terms of sound quality - but manufacturing. Just tapping the headphone slightly will cause it to fall apart.

  • I just bought them, but now regretting. I guess they are just the earphone which we easily can get from ebay.

  • +8

i don't know why everyone is getting excited. you get this sort of junk on ebay or chinese sites for same price.

  • +7

These aren't even worth $1, and there have been a few deals in past where similar replica earphones have been offered for free or even cheaper.

What's more, the ad by Shopping Square is potentially misleading since the "Made for iPod" seal implies that it's an official Apple (or Apple certified accessory), which it isn't — this is just some low quality replica. Accessory makers pay big bucks to Apple to use that "Made for iPod" seal.

  • +10

Have no idea why people spend $200+ on iPods and even more on iPhones only to spend a measly $1-2 on earphones.

Do yourself (and your ears) a huge favour and spend a little more- even if you can get the cheap logitech UE200's it's a massive step up.

    • +6

well you answered yourself ! they use ipods because they know/care little about sound quality, therefore not needing quality earphones. simple.

      • -1

        haha darn right mate

      • +1

You miss interpreted him as he was saying people spend so much on their iPhones/iPods but yet won't fork out a decent amount to listen to them properly. Your hit on iPods and iPhones being of inferior audio quality hence justifying the use of crappy headphones is just stupid.

        • +2

          no, my justification is this:

if someone cared about sound quality in the first place, i don't think the ipod would be the music player of choice; not only because it is expensive but it also does not have good sound reproduction. Secondly, because of the first reason, if someone does not care about sound quality that much as to get an ipod, then they most likely will not spend much on earphones either. Is that line of logic stupid ? He posed a question by saying "Have no idea…." so therefore i'm giving him an answer.

Also, you "miss used" your English grammar.

        • What other music player is left? You can't buy a good current gen MP3 player these days besides the iPod because Apple killed them all. Creative? Dead. I used to own a Zen Vision: M but that was back in the day when it was pretty much an even playing field.
Sandisk? No they mainly focus on small, cheap players for fitness, gym etc.
          Zune? US only.
And not to seem like an iFag but you make it sound as if the ipods are such train wrecks in sound quality we might as well go back to listening to cassette players! It's not that bad and its not eargasmic OGM (OGM as in format not OMG) good, but it's certainly not because people don't know or care about sound quality to buy ipods in the first place. Features? Price? Usability?
Now this is just getting off topic.

        • +1

          @kangaberries

I used to have a Vision: M too!! That was so awesome! I caved and got an iPhone in the end!

      • Talk about generalising… ಠ_ಠ

    • I bought those logitech UE200's from logitechshop when they were on sale and everybody was saying how good the sound quality is. Now idk if i got a shitty pair or what because let me tell you now the sound quality compared to the stock ipod earphones is much worse. The difference is very noticeable.

      • I wouldn't say the sound quality of the UE200's are 'good', just better than stock iPod earphones. Tried changing the EQ settings? Also, if you have poor quality tracks (e.g. mp3 96kbps) it will be much more noticeable

It's already been said - fake iHeadphones. I'm sure in SEA, I could buy a handful of these for $1.

    • but your not in China and the $1 price is for P&H

      • +2

you think you can get a HANDFUL of these for 6.2RMB in China? are you kidding? people who seriously hold this viewpoint deserve all the craps.

        • +2

Let me ask you something. When you go into business, you sell goods to make a profit, right?

If the good is being sold in Australia for $1, a country that traditionally gets prices marked up by up to 150% at Ikea, if I remember correctly from this video (http://aca.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=8378758), then how much do you think it would cost to manufacture these goods?

More importantly, how much do you think it would be sold in a country where the minimum wage is $2.20 an hour (Indonesia), $3.94 a day (Mexico), or $0.87 an hour (China - assuming 8 hour days, and 5 day weeks - both incorrect assumptions)?

So, yes, I think I can get a handful of these for 6.2RMB in China. Worst comes to worst, you can hire someone for one hour and probably come out on top, provided you have access to a headphone-producing factory, which is unlikely to begin with, but hey.

    • +4

      Post a better deal then.

    • +2

you missed out on these last week http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/57017

$0.98 for 3 X Pairs Double Mp3 Ears Earphones Headphone In Ear Silica Gel Buds Tips http://www.buyincoins.com/details/3-x-pairs-double-mp3-ears-…

      $1.98 for 8 pairs http://www.buyincoins.com/details/8-x-pairs-double-mp3-ears-…

  • Can't be wrong with 1 buck though… + from me.

  • +8

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE RIP OFF.

You can get 100 (ONE HUNDRED) pairs of headphones from DealExtreme for the same price of $1.

    http://www.dealextreme.com/p/20801
Add 100 to cart, enter coupon code DXAUMAS3.

    (see http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/56954 )

    hehe :)

    • +2

      tempting…

    • +7

lol WTF. ordered 100 just for the hell of it.

      • +3

        true ozbarginer.

    • lolz.

btw, the minimum quantity the coupon seems to work for is 11. no need to waste that other 88c :)

      • It's when the cart totals > $30.

        • ah, that explains it. the cart was $27.xx and then dropped to $0.11 lol

      • my cart still shows over $30, how to reduce it to 0.11? do i need to sign in and then enter coupon?

    • +1

Anyone tried it and succeeded- order not being cancelled?

    • +2

LAWL epic!! but i dont think they're really going to send me this..

    • Technically they're exactly not the same but I still ordered 50c worth :)

      • +2

I only ordered 25c worth. I didn't want to go overboard! LOL

    • +1

I think this has been fixed now. :(

When I add 100 to the cart it comes up as $274.02. Then when I add something worth $30 the quantity of earphones drops to 1 and I cant change it to any other number because it keeps resetting to 1.

      • +1

Same here :( Damn I needed some new earphones too as DealExtreme left out the last pair from my order then sent a pair which only worked in one ear then broke in half.

Out of a 100, I was hoping to find one decent pair.

      • Nasty company, stopping people stealing stuff.

    • My $0.20 order of 20 bamboo plant pairs has now been marked as Shipped.
My $0.97 order of 97 pairs of headphones is still marked as "Expedited Order Received - in stock".

  • +2

    Shopping Square. Enough said.

  • +5

You have to have Apple's approval to use the "Made for iPod" mark. Naughty Shopping Square.

  • can i use the earphone with sgs2?

    • You can use it with any device that has a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

      • i suppose sgs2 is 3.5mm right? haha…hardly use it so not sure..

        • Yes it is.

  • Appears to be out of stock

  • -2

    Deceptive non apple genuine product

  • +1

even for a dollar, they still arent worth it. you couldnt pay me to wear this pos earphones.

  • -1

well as long as they dont become faulty

    • O.o whats the reason for the neg?

  • Got mine today. Sound isnt fantastic, its slightly better than the earphones that came with my Huawei X1. Though mine had a little chip where the white plastic meets the grey rubbery part on one.
