Not as good as past Christmas promotion by Panasonic & Sony that offered home cinema packages or game consoles.

  • better than nothing
    • UA46D6000
    • UA46D6003
    • UA46D6400
    • UA46D6600

not bad, was thinking of one of these ones, around 1k-1.4k
    so save anotehr 10%!

  • They look like the 46, 55 and 60" sizes. This is on top of purchasing discounts u might be able to get from JB hifi and the likes.

    • No doubt the shop Reps will be well aware of the promotion and perhaps less inclined to offer good discounts like they normally would.

I doubt they'd care. The rebates are completely separate to anything on a store level.

        • Your latter statement is true but in many retail shops the Rep gets his/her commission from the purchase price and the more discount they concede, the less goes in their own pockets. If that weren't the case then you'd expect them to offer their lowest prices at the drop of a hat.

Ends Jan 8, so will be useful for the after Xmas sales.

  • If I can find any of those TVs for under $1000 and use this offer then I will get it

otherwise will wait and get the 51" 3d plasma in xmas sales

    • The UA46D6003 has certainly been under $1000 in the past at Harvey Norman, so it might be a good option to look out for (so long as you don't want 3D).

  • ouch, and my mate just bought a d8000 55" not 3 weeks ago

Samsung's "cash back" is in the form of a Citi prepaid Mastercard and cannot be redeemed for cash or used to reduce the price of the tv you are buying. It can also take up to 2 months to receive your card and they reserve the right to substitute the cash back with something else if out of stock.By that time you will probably have purchased whatever accessories you need to go with your brand new tv.If this suits you it's still not a bad offer but just be aware of the T&C's.

Some retailers are falsely advertising that you can reduce the price of the tv with the "cash back".I don't think they are aware of the T&c's.

    Thanks to Dangeruss/whirlpool

  • I'm going wait and see what Sony does this year. Got 3 PS3's 2 years ago when we bought some TV's for the house.

Samsung's last promo of a 26" TV giveaway was better.

In Malaysia, Samsung is giving away Samsung Galaxy 10.1 + 2x3D glasses + Home Entertainment System (HTD5550WK) with UA60D8000

    Bloody stingy Samsung Aus

    • wow lol

    • Did you take a look at the prices to get the packages though? Over AU$5000 for the UA55D8000 - I think it's fair to say that there's not a whole lot you're actually getting for free in reality.

      • Well, I'm talking about UA60D8000, retail price in Malaysia after conversion is about $400 more
The extra gifts are worth a lot more.

It's not about comparing prices, different country have different RRP.
Just that this year's Samsung Christmas offering here is a far cry from previous's promotion, just a mere $200. At least throw in a few more 3D glasses

        • How much is the cheapest UA60D8000 or UA60D6600 in Aust?
