  • Not bad. Probably would have got two if available earlier. Got one from the 20% off ebay sales and one from Amazon US.

  • Also if you have claimed the $5 voucher (still valid for use), then that would bring down the price down a bit (not sure if both offers can be combined)

Fun fact 1: SD card is one of the most discounted items on Black Friday.

Fun fact 2: Black Friday is coming in 2 weeks.

    • Fun fact 3: No microSD slot in iPhones & Pixels. Americans have limited memory (options) ;)

      • +7

I would actually say that is an unfun fact.

Bought the 256gb from them about 10 days ago. Still haven't dispatch yet. It was supposed to be send within 1-3 working days. What a shit company. Could have bought from Amazon for 4$ more.

same boat, isnt worth couple bucks saved

    • The one I bought from Amazon US was received in 8 days. Pretty fast. The other one from eBay was shipped from Sydney and received in 6 days.

Had someone get angry with me in a thread I posted because the Amazon listing was more expensive. I linked the cheaper price as well, but for me I go Amazon when it's within a similar range for more expensive.

Is $4.00 worth waiting several weeks vs 36hrs. Then you have returns.

Price vs. value. There are many on here who do not understand the difference.

      • +4

I get why you and others will pay a few dollars more to get something quicker.

But me personally. I'm never in a hurry to receive anything. Matter of fact I'm still waiting for an Android tv box which i will likely not see till next month.

Waited nearly a month for my dreame v11 vacuum. My alldocube iplay20 pro tablets. Much the same waiting time.

Am I willing to pay a few dollars more to get it quicker? Maybe if I am in a hurry. Most times not really.

        • It's not just pricing, the amount of times I have bought something off eBay for cheaper, only to receive the wrong thing, or it's not as advertised, or it breaks a few months later and there is nothing I can do about it.

Amazon's return system is very good insurance which is valuable.

          • @Jimbuscus:

Amazon's return system is very good insurance which is valuable.

            Understand that also.

          • @Jimbuscus: If you where to save $10 but the $60 item is bad, best case scenario you spend hours of effort waiting for back and forth communication for them to cover shipping label. Normal likelihood you are out the $12 for return shipping. Worst case scenario you lost $60 trying to save $10.

Often things just won't arrive until a month or two later, without you knowing when you can pull the trigger on charge back, something that can take time and effort in itself.

I still buy from other retailers when they are cheaper, but I often end up regretting saving the few dollars.

            • @Jimbuscus: Monologuing there buddy? You're responding to yourself.

100%, it seems from the description in their invoicing that they were selling these as part of a group buy…
i.e. they didn't have stock at the time they sold it to us and considering they still haven't shipped then they still don't have stock!
If I'd known this in advance then I wouldn't have placed the order.

One of the support staff responded to my support ticket promising shipment on Monday 16/11…

IMHO this is deceptive and if they didn't have stock at the time or planned to make a bulk order to get a discount then this would have been mentioned up front!
I will be very cautious considering before ordering from SS in the future, basically the pricing will have to be better than AliExpress pricing before I consider it.

When we are running a promotion, normally we got 100-500pcs stock in sydney warehouse. If the related deal are too popular, it will run out in a few hours. After we confirmed with supplier for the new stock (and allow to be offered for the same price), we will add 2nd lot of stock for buyers who missed the 1st lot. It may take 3-10 business day for the 2nd lot arrived.

If the item is in sydney warehouse. It will show handling time 1-3 business day.
If the item is in transiting from supplier. It will show handling time 3-10 business day.

          Well that's a bit deceptive…
So what you are saying is that this item advertised in this particular bargain is out of stock already and will be ordered from the supplier with up to a two week delay in shipment.

A lot of vendors sell stock based on stock availability from suppliers but at least it's clear when they are doing so…

      The usual Shopping Square

      • I'm surprised they're not banned on this forum yet.

        • You'd be surprised what's not banned on this bargain site - racist comments, offensive comments, e.g

  • Bought one of the samsung microsd cards from them before. Came in chinese packaging and took about a month to arrive. Most likely better to try to go to officeworks and get a price match.

    • Tried that. They refuse because shoppingsquare does not list the product model number anywhere on the website they claim cannot verify if its same product.

Bought a 256gb microsd last deal and still has not shipped. Raised a support ticket and was told 16 November.

    • Thanks!

Yes I would never buy from these guys again. At least 2 weeks before your order arrives from overseas.

  • Whats interesting is i was considering getting this for DJI osmo or drones, but DJI only (officially) support up to 256gb.
