Samsung Galaxy S20 5G 128GB (Cloud Pink) $974.35 @ Samsung Government Portal

140

Available at this price only for the Cloud Pink. Not sure if same price under the Education portal.
This is better value to the FE variants unless you must have a larger-sized phone.

The Galaxy Note 20 is also available at similar price, thanks to this deal:

No way is this better value than the FE variant, because it has a smaller battery and runs the Exynos chipset.

The S20 FE 5G is the model to get.

Unless you need dual SIM, in which case you'll need to stick with one of the older S20 models.

    • The FE has a povo flat screen and is only full HD, its only got gorilla glass 3 and a plastic back… Its a cheap featured phone minus the chipset

as the owner of an S20+, the screen resolution makes literally no difference, especially if you run it at 120hz, which neither the S20 nor S20+ can do at full resolution.

id rather have gorilla glass 3 and a plastic back than the rubbish Exynos chipset. Crap battery life, random stutters, pretty unimpressive performance.

The S20 has more RAM, better-spec'd display/screen and camera. I suspect it can also take more beating than its plastic-bodied brother.

I think they should count towards the value consideration.

If I'm not mistaken (and I could be), the S20/S20+ also have dual SIM+eSIM support - which is pretty awesome. I was able to move to Vodafone online by just using a QR code with my S20+ to add the carrier to my phone. Didn't even need to get rid of the old Telstra SIM in my phone!

  • Whats better gov or edu portal?

    • If you have access to both, go for the cheaper one obviously.

    • Usually it's the same price

      • Work in education, but have a gov email address.

The S20 is better for sure than the FE.

  • Note 20 Ultra 5G is also available in $1,299 on edu portal, plus you can take another $50 off by subscribing and getting $50 voucher.

    • Is the extra $300ish worth it to jump to the Ultra? The 6.9in screen size is intimidating.

At this price i think its worth it.

      • Not to mention the weight of it as well.

Dude a $1,299 phone is never worth it.
I used to always buy the latest best Samsung until I dropped my $1,179 S8+ from about 15cm on to concrete and cracked the screen.
I've been rocking my $380 Mi 9T w/ a Pixel Experience rom and couldn't be happier… no notch, hole or tear drop on the front screen, just top to bottom OLED.

  • Does anyone have a direct link?

  • Green and grey colours also now available for $974 (or $924 after the $50 discount).

EDIT - Nope - sorry - that's the Note 20 - S20 only has pink for that price.
