these use to retail new around $40 i think

but they are a very nice looking controller, I got one jsut for collection as im a zelda fan

    • I'd be surprised if you didn't, given your profile pic/ username.

Do you find the back paddles handy? Do they get in the way during heated moments?

    • I need to stop buying things for my collections!

  • How do these compare to the other PDP controllers going for $17.48 at EB Games?

the one you linked is great for smash bros, I also play mario maker with it. The one in the posted deal is closer to the general switch pro controller. IMO more usable for most games

USB c cable included in zelda controller can be removed from controller and used to recharge other devices like smartphone. I would have bought another one if I didn't get one from Ebgames yesterday:(

      • How much did you pay at Ebgames?

Does this have bluetooth and PC connectivity? What USB cable is it?
The official site doesn't have much details:
    https://www.pdp.com/en/faceofftm-wired-pro-controller-botw

    • 10 ft USB cable (linked video @ 39 seconds for back of box). Bluetooth isn't listed

I've heard switch controllers with USB connection can be plugged into pc but haven't tried it myself

    • I think Xinput will work for PC

There's quite a few for $17.48 at EB Games / EB Games eBay. Free delivery with eBay plus eg. And Amazon $17.48

    • Yes, but form factor of controller is different. Those are gamecube style ones, favourable for smash bros (good all rounders too)

  • Does this work connected to a PC?

Thinking to use it for games like Overcooked 2 Streets of Rage 4 and possibly Switch emulators

Just tried my other 3rd party switch controller (gamecube style) which has a USB connection and it worked. I've heard reports that if it has USB plug, it works with PC. I'll update you once I pick mine up tomorrow (from this deal)

      • any luck? i think i read somewhere that steam games will work but i wonder if other games will work or not

        • +1

just tried, works with PC. only tried steam game

  • Apologies noob question, is this just the designed case to put on the pro controller, or it is the controller itself usable for playing?

    • +1

Its a whole new controller with swappable face plates.

ITs wired only though and lacks several features of the pro like amiibo scan , etc.

      • Oh ok thanks, i see that its detachable so i thought it can do wireless as well then im realised im dreaming for a second

        • It does come with a 3m USB C cable, handy for charging phones when it's not plugged into the controller.

          • @silverrat23: does it allow for fast charging?

            • @dajackal: Probably not, given it's a USB A to USB C cable, not a USB C to USB C.

Happy to be proven wrong however.

              • @silverrat23: My android phone came with a USB A to USB C cable and is able to fast charge so I think it is dependent on the charger rather than the cable. In any case, I'll update you once I pick up the controller in this deal @dajackal

                • @snoopster: As long as it supports QC2/3 is good for me! Don't need PD

@dajackal: just tried out the charging. On my phone's (Oppo) stock cable, I get the on screen confirmation its fast charging (VOOC). Sadly that fast charge (VOOC) notification didn't come up using the cable included with the controller.
