      • I linked this last night and found out is not free shipping with prime. So I removed it. Anyway thanks for checking I bought one.

      • Thank you! Was waiting for that one.

  • I’ve had the G920 (xbox) for a couple of years. I didn’t realise the G29 for PS4 had so many extra buttons!

  • +1

Can this be set up easily on a normal desk?

    • yep :)

  • +1

Brilliant find OP, personally I'm going to wait for the G920 as I have an xbox. Still fantastic find and brings me some hope that someday there will be a good price on the g920 :)

  • +1

is this stand worth getting or will it play fine on a glass desk? 130 bucks https://bit.ly/2IUBnoY

    • This is a cheap no-name brand, I'd avoid it if I were you. Maybe wait for BF/xmas sales for well known brands like Playseat

      • ive noticed they use the same design but different logo on it, compared to a table this will do just fine. not like its gonna fall apart midplay, i ve seen some youtube reviews and they all said its solid and way better than a table

  • Can I clarify that this has the force shifter with it too, says in description but not in the picture, as in the manual gear selector.

    • no shifter.

    • Shifter is an extra $50

  • whats better for PC? G29 or G920? G29 seems to have more buttons but xbox buttons seem more native on PC?

    • +2

G29 has a rev counter which works with a few sim games - if you're interested in that, and the extra dial on the G29, go that one instead. If not, go for the G920.

      • yea sound like the better option

    • It depends if your going to be playing 'console' type driving games (on pc), or racing sim games.

Sims don't really care about the console buttons i.e. x,triangle, circle, square are just extra buttons in a sim.

But games ported from xbox to pc, would be useful for knowing those buttons (if they aren't resignable in game that is).

btw, g920 just had prime delivery to aus applied to it,

If you don't want to have to deal with a UK to AU power adapter for the G29 power supply all you need to do is grab yourself one of these cables and it will be like you bought the AU version:

    2m: https://www.mwave.com.au/product/alogic-2m-aus-3-pin-wall-to…
    3m: https://www.mwave.com.au/product/alogic-3m-aus-3-pin-mains-p…
    5m: https://www.mwave.com.au/product/alogic-5m-aus-3-pin-mains-p…

That's if you don't already have a spare one laying around at home :-)

You can see the power supply that comes with the UK version in this unboxing video 58secs in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoXRR6j_12E

  • Is there a sort of folding mount you can get for these so that it can be packed away easily without unclamping it from the desk and stuff?

    • +1

see my comment above, 130 bucks ebay idk if its good or not tho, its the cheapest option (non DIY)

      • Thanks

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

Just FYI for those who are keen. JB hifi is happy to price match. Bought mine earlier today and can confirm they price match as Amazon seller is Logitech.

Better to have the AUS model with 12months warranty and no waiting time.

    • Did you grab the shifter? Just curious as the wording in the title

      • Yea the wording in the title is confusing, I think they meant paddleshifter on the steering wheel. You have to buy the additional shifter.

    • +1

JB phone sales wouldn't price match so it may be store dependent also.

      • Possibly. I never had issues with price match in the past. Only time I got declined was when the item was not in stock for them to match it.

    • idk if u got lucky, you got a great deal i guess.. idk too risky to cancel order and try JB (they haven't shipped yet)

      • Thanks. If you're free and bothered maybe try to drop in JB to see if they can do it then cancel your order if it hasn't been shipped yet.

        • oh so I can cancel if it hasn't been shipped without any fees or anything? its my second time ordering from amazon

          • @striker5950: Yep. If you can't see the cancel order button any more just get on live chat and they'll cancel it for you.

            • @bamzero: well what a waste of time, went to two jbhifis in sydney and both denied coz non aussie stock

      • just checked my amazon order its not shipped yet but money has been taken out of account already so looks like im sticking with amazon as they will probably take their sweet time putting the money back

        • You can still cancel as long it's not shipped yet. But yes they do take their sweet time refunding. Did it once, took about 1-2 weeks for the money back into my card.

Still worth it if you don't need the money or in a hurry and bothered to go into JB.

          • @Ch3wy: coming into christmas shopping id rather not be waiting to get $270 back haha otherwise i would go to jb for it asap, going there on Wednesday anyway but eh my bad for not checking with jb earlier if they would match it

    • I tried my local JBHIFI store and they would not price match the wheel… "stating its below their cost". They would match the shifter but not the wheel….

  • Hi guys,
I was able to price match with JB Parramatta Westfield (Both the G29 and the Force Shifter) for ~$328. The only catch was he added $6.99 Prime Subscription Fee to my order as the guy said they were matching Amazon only after adding the "subscription fee". I was happy to buy it for $7 extra for Local AU stock and warranty, no need to convert UK to AU and don't need to wait until Dec and was able to use my Gift cards for the purchase.

    • Nice. Glad someone else was able to get it price matched as well. They never brought up the prime subscription with me but I am a prime member.

You're definitely right, the extra $7 is worth with AUS stock, warranty and no need for a converter.

    • omfg i just called jbhifi parra and after he said its in stock I asked if he would price match amazon aus, and than he put me on hold for 7 mins than he said oh we cant coz its not aus stock. i told him some other people are price matching this in other JB why are you not doing the same? he said store to store is different, man if you can upload the receipt for the parra westfield store i can go there and make them price match it with proof. i just dont like it when retailers get dodgy like this. you either price match it for everyone or you dont.

      • technically you are buying it through the Amazon au site shouldnt matter where the stocks coming from as thats what the extra $7 is for basically

        • thats what i said also, but he kept saying since its coming from UK it does not count and it has to be AUS stock. but the same store price matched it for the guy above.. idk why they really try not to price match, do they loose money??

      • +1

Its a fair call. It's technically not the same product as it has a different plug and you dont get waranty with it.
Another staff member probably put the other persons not realising its from UK. Cant expect them to make the same mistake just for you.

        • -2

nah mate, the fact that i spoke to 3 different persons from the same store proves your theory wrong. the fact that some guy went in before me to the same store and got price match also proves you wrong. they talk to each other and ask managers before they make any price matches, so the manager would have heard about the first guy. and who ever else price matched it .

basically the call guy passed it to the gaming guy to another guy above him to the manager. (he had to check with the manager to see 'if they price match' first) didnt even tell him from where, the answer was yeh we price match but it depends on what the price is. wtf is that suppose to mean anyway. that i told him amazon, he put on on hold for 7 mins, came back said oh we have to add 90 dollars shipping, told him its 6.99 for prime membership shipping which is free shipping, he left again for a few minutes, came back with the excuse that its a uk stock, also this all happened after another ozbargainer above said he already price matched with the same store.

          • +1

@striker5950: I had no luck at 2 stores either. Once they match the price and it goes red they need to get manager confirmation and once they saw it was from UK its a no to match cos they consider it a grey product

          • @striker5950: They can tell you any excuse they want because there are several legitimate reasons for them to deny price match. The fact is, it still isn't the same product so they are under no obligation to give it to you. How can you be so sure you spoke to the same staff? Was around lunch time so could very well have been different people while on breaks or change of shift.

            • -2

@8azinga: you are not getting the point mate, the point is they were the same manager, i went in like 1 hr after the other guy who price matched. as they had to check with the same manager who's responsible for that section, and you are right about one thing which is they are different model numbers and they dont have to price match but that does not explain why they dont want to price match a second time when they already did it the first time and why didnt they just say no before having to check with the manager twice, its just dodgy, either do it for everyone or dont do it is all im saying.

              • @striker5950: Mistakes can be made and they might not have seen that it was from UK the first time. Doesn't mean they have to make the same mistake again. It's not dodgy, its fair. If it was a legitimate price match, same product, australian stock, no membership needed to get any discounts, then fair enough that they are being dodgy but its not. How can you be sure it was the same manager anyway? He could have been out on lunch and they spoke to next in charge instead.

                • -2

@8azinga: section managers don't change shifts at 2pm while the other goes for lunch.. it almost sounds like you work at that store or something and trying to defend why you pulled some dodgy sh!t lol

                  • @striker5950: Sorry, dont work for them. I just realise when mistakes are made. I guess you must have worked for them since you know staff rosters and lunch breaks though.

                    • -2

@8azinga: no i haven't, but my mate has in the past and he confirmed that managers dont change shifts, one manager stays the entire day.

                      • @striker5950: That one manager goes out to lunch some time during the day. It could have been when you were there, or when the other guy was there so it could have been dealing with different staff.

                        • -1

@8azinga: i still think you dont know what you're talking about and just guessing, also you keep disliking comments as if thats gonna make you right lol, its obvious you got two accounts coz all the dislikes are in twos, how pathetic lmao.

                          • @striker5950: Someone else is downvoting.
You are also guessing since you didnt see who the other person dealt with. Aint no different bud lol Just accept they made a mistake for the first guy.

                            • @8azinga: im not guessing coz unlike you i had a part in the story, the only person guessing is you here. and you are so self centred that you think you are right lol

                              • @striker5950: sorry, wrong again. I'm just saying there are other possibilities that you aren't seeing. You spoke to them on the phone so there is no way you would know. No need to get your panties in a twist about it because they didn't want to intentionally make a invalid price match for you.

                                • @8azinga: there are other possibilities that you are not willing to see coz you are hell bent on proving your thoughts as facts, you are a 3rd party outsider to the story making assumptions, at least i was part of the scenario. so i do have a better understating of what would be the reasoning behind them not wanting to price match, if you are a real ozbargainer you would know that retailers sometimes bend the rules in price matching and or try to avoid it. so some people get different results to others who managed to get a price match from the same store, i had already established that the manager did not change during that particular scenario, but you come out of nowhere with your assumptions as "facts:" as if you are the second manger at the store who took shift that day. im not even mad at the non price matching coz my item has already shipped. so move on with your life..

  • Mine hasn't shipped yet, normally Amazon are pretty quick.

  • Mine has just been shipped out with DHL

    • Wish they used DHL for mine. I got Australia Post Global.

      • Didn't even know that was a thing. What's your eta. Mines 30th and apparently from UK to au its 3days

        • About 2 weeks :( Had APG a couple of times before. Got something from Amazon UK a few weeks ago, took about 10 days.
Could be worse I guess, but could be better if it was DHL ;)

Can never get the tracking to work on their site either, can only see the progress when Amazon updates.
DHL tracking is great. ETA to the minute and how many parcels left before yours to be delivered on the run.

          • @bamzero: Mine finally shipped with DHL yesterday too. I was just complaining to the wife about it when the notification came through.

            • @MagicMikez32: None of you are making me feel any better :D

At least I've got tracking with Auspost now.. Only gotten to "shipping info approved" today :(

        • Might not be so bad, has landed in Perth. Let's see if Auspost can get it together to finish the delivery before the end of the week.
(With any luck at the same time as the shifter)

(Just clicked the shifter link, gone back up. Still $59 at JB's if anyone chasing.)

  • Just got mine!

  • got mine! and i got the gear shifter from ebay for 45 delivered if anyone wants it its from gamesmen with %15 coupon it goes down to 45 delivered and it got delivered in 2 days. • +1

Got mine! Asked about the shifter and they admitted a list error and provide 50% refund. Didn't expect that coming.

    • How did you ask?

      • Just mentioned shifter in title but didn't receive one.
