Got an email from Commonwealth bank today.

"You asked for digital Gift Cards to come back and we've delivered. Plus, for a limited time, you can get more value with 10% off when you redeem digital Gift Cards through the Awards eShop."

10% discount on the points required applies to all digital Gift Cards listed on the Awards website from 19 November for a limited time only and will be withdrawn without notice. Digital Gift Cards can be found under the digital Gift Card category located under the redeem tab on the Awards website

"Reduce your credit card balance faster and get a bonus 20% when you redeem Awards points for cash back"

Bonus 20% cash back is valid from 19 November for a limited time only and will be withdrawn without notice. Awards points redeemed and funds credited to a member’s CommBank Awards credit card under the cash back Award are non-refundable. A member’s CommBank Awards credit card must be open and active to redeem. Upon redemption of this Award, points will be deducted from the member’s CommBank Awards points account and funds credited to the member’s CommBank Awards credit card from which the points were earned within 10 business days. Funds credited as a result of redeeming a cash back Award will not contribute to any minimum monthly payment due.

      Its for the credit card accounts. You need to log into imply log NetBank and then click "View Awards" to go to the Awards website. Then when you click on redeem gift cards you need to select digital as it is not physical cards.

      Copied and pasted from their website, "CommBank Awards is only available to CommBank Awards credit card holders. You can earn points when you spend with your Awards credit card, and redeem them for merchandise, gift cards, charity and cashback through the Awards portal, or at Flight Centre and Myer."

      I don't think its targeted.

      I haven't received any email or in-app message, when I do it on my pc on go to the cashback rewards page it tells you there that it has a 20% bonus:

    Make sure you go for the $100 digital gift cards if you can…for some reason they have a slightly lower points cost than the other value cards. e.g. Coles $100 digital gift card is 18,585 points, but the $500 digital gift card costs 94,180 points.
    If you were to buy 5 x $100 digital cards the point cost would only be 92,925 points
    That's a points saving of 1,255 points!
    Same goes for the $25, 50 and 250 cards, avoid them if you can because they require more points per $1

      They dont have the $100 digital gift card. Only the non-digital one for $100.

      Is that after the 10% bonus? Cause I didn't get the email but when I logged in, I got the same points bonus as you for $500. Can't see $100 digital, the next best option is $250 for 46925 (which is equal to 93870 for 2 of them)

      2x $250 coles digital cards was 310 points cheaper than 1x $500 coles digital card for me. Couldn't see any $100 cards.

    I did not receive the email however the bonus is on my rewards page banner.

    Can anyone tell me if the points per dollar for Cashback is 235 before or after the 20% bonus?

    As 235 is currently calculating to be about 27% worse off than getting the 100$ egift cards at 186 points redeemed per dollar.

          Cheers, saw it once logged in. My first time with CBA banking platform …not a fan!

          Got a 2 x $250 coles dig gift cards + $50 dig card for my 104k points.

          Time to shut this card down

          Anyone know if CBA have a 12 month wait requirement between cards requirement (to get bonuses)?

    ..And just realised purchases made with gift cards are ineligible for flybuy point promotions!

    So don't use them if you get a 'spend $60 get 2000pts' etc.

      I often use gift cards to pay at Coles when I'm doing the 4 weeks get 10,000 promotions. It's when you are buying gift cards that they don't qualify towards the spend.

        Interesting… I rang flybuys and they said I'm ineligible for the bonus points as I used a gift card. But then applied them manually as 'good will's . Will try again this week and see what happens.

    I think this promo may be over. It worked for me the other week and now that it is end of month I checked Awards to redeem further points but promo no longer on my account. Seems like they have changed Awards a bit too, as I think the points are being added straight away now rather than in one big hit after each credit card statement and they have info on shops for bonus points.
