Thanks OP. CR are doing the same.

    • +1

Along with a bonus $100 with $800 spend?

      • Ah no, just the same cashback rate.

  • +1

    Does this include outlet?

    • +3

Outlet is never included in cashback

  • Are there any approved coupons? Very tempted to get that Dell XPS I've always wanted

  • +3

Only first 70 participants can get the bonus $100 cashback. Currently 66 is used out.

    • It seems that after 70 customers, the bonus is $50. Still not bad.

      • Don't think anyone has actually redeemed the offer yet. Mine says 91 participants, 0/70 winners.

        • Since they can't 'declare' winners til purchases are made and cashback tracks that could take a good while

          • @Merlict: That's a good point.

          • @Merlict: I am guessing the number of participants is not the number of actual buyers. So we can't tell whether we are still in the race for the $100, just have to buy and take a chance we might be in the 70? Seems like Click Frenzy to me.

            • @Buy2Much: Yeah 'participants' haven't committed to anything so most are just looking.

        • My bad, I thought it is the same as the previous $5 eBay challenge. That was the first 5000 participants can start the challenge.

  • Does it stack with Unidays discount codes?

  • +9

NOTE: Be careful, the 10% cashback on ebay did not track for a lot of people and they simply said vendor refused to pay. I sent them click history as well as invoice within a minute of the registered click but they refused to pay. Pretty poor.

PS: I am not new to cashback but have learned my lesson. Cashback is a bonus. Always purchase something that you are happy to pay without the cashback.

    • +1

Ebay being scumbags.. sounds about right lol

    • Cashback is a bonus. Always purchase something that you are happy to pay without the cashback.

to get the cashback, you need to forgo the coupons - so, classic dilemma: less pay in hand now, or promise of more later.

    • Same thing happened to me and I purchased direct through Dell. I have done many cashbacks without fail and my biggest purchase unfortunately had to be the one and only transaction that didn't track. Dell negated the missing cashback and Shopback have automatically appealed their decision, fingers crossed!

      • Good luck mate.

    • THIS

If you rely on the cashback to afford it then you can't afford it. The cashback is always just a nice bonus.

      • +2

Its not the question of afford but value. I bought an item because it represented value after cashback but not before. Didn't get the cashback and felt ripped off.

But you are right, "The cashback is always just a nice bonus."

        • +3

Spot on! I would of went for another brand laptop and got it from JB HIFI if I had know this would happen. But as you said, the value presented itself. I'm definitely going to find a reason to refund it back to Dell if they don't honour the appeal Shopback has made. Not because I'm cheap, but only because of principal.

    • Just to be safe. I completed the cashback through the shopback mobile app. I found that it always tracks that way.

It is a little more difficult as I always need to re-login to my DELL account everytime I click through from within the Shopback app.

      • Just an FYI, I had also used the Shopback app for my ebay purchase. The Click History is recorded but vendor refused cashback regardless.

        • Yeah, for eBay, it is more specific to the type of items you are purchasing, and NO COUPONS use allowed. I did try to see if I get tracked a few times while using COUPONS or while purchasing excluded items.

And in the end, SHOPBACK always made sure I tracked $0.00. In other words, no cash back allowed. But I did always get tracked everytime I use SHOPBACK with that method suggested above.

          • @chunfat: There was an exception. it was with "YOUI" they refused to track it and claimed that my insurance purchase was a special->special discount applied through there special->special package. (sounds like bullshit from YOUI.) so I can't be bothered to complain further. What I am going to do, is to leave "YOUI" and give them a very bad review when I leave them for a better INSURANCE DEAL.

I will never try to buy YOUI insurance through a SHOPBACK or CASHBACK deal. They don't honor the CASHBACK system in a very easy to understand and transparent manner.

            • @chunfat: There are always exceptions. For you it was "YOUI". For me it was "eBAY" and yes, I did NOT use any coupons. It was a flat 10% off cashback with no limits and for $650 item thats a lot of cashback to simply refuse without any evidence. Anyways, the aim was to educate others so they are aware.

    • What do you mean by "click history" evidence?

      • +2

The Click History in Shopback showed that I had clicked through to eBay. My order email from eBay is within a minute of that click history date/time recorded. Yet, they refused the cashback as the vendor refused it. End of story.

        • Same happened with me using Shopback and cellarmasters…click is recorded and the receipt for purchase is within 1 minute..no coupons or codes used… nothing at all in the end

this deal is perfect. $894.49 less 10% from DELL coupon, final price $805.04.

    10% shopback cashback = $80.50
    $100 shopback bonus cashback = $100

    total spend after cashback = $805.04 - $80.50 - $100 = $624.54

    • Coupon might invalidate cashback

  • Assuming the Dell Advantage coupon will negate cashback? Dilemmas…

    • +1

For sure. However, Dell may negate your cashback anyway. I'm still waiting on shopback while they appeal to Dell for my negated cashback.

  • How do I know if I’m eligible for the extra $100 bouns? I completed my purchase around 9:45am.

    • +1

go into the shopback app. when the purchase shows pending tracking. it will show up in the "Earn More" section for dell to be "completed"

NOTE: but you need to activate the DELL "Earn More" deal prior to shopping. by clicking "start"

      • Thank you! I did activate before shopping, so hopefully I’m one of the 70. Fingers crossed :)

  • +1

When Does the 10% cash-back end.

  • +2

I purchased an XPS 2 in 1 for $2480 2 weeks ago and it was my first ever transaction with Shopback that didn't track. I applied for missing transaction and Dell negated it and now Shopback is appealing their decision. Cashback was worth 10%, so I look forward to see what decision the appeal will bring. So disappointing.

    • +1

Same thing happened to me for the Dell 34" ultrawide I bought. Shopback says Dell negated the cashback and they are now appealing with Dell.

Should have used a coupon instead. Oh bother.

      • That sucks. Might use lovekeanu instead.

      • +1

Also bought a Dell 34" ultrawide, cash back also didn't track, etc. Seems to be a very high rate of non-tracking for this deal. Did you have any joy with the appeal? Am considering a return instead.

    • How do you know its dell rather than shopback?

      • No idea how to tell but that's what Shopback claims.

Thank you for submitting a missing cashback claim.

We have investigated and found that the merchant has deemed ShopBack ineligible to earn commissions on this transaction which results in us being unable to pass the cashback along to you.

ShopBack awards cashback on your transactions on the basis that the merchant attributes your order to ShopBack and pays us a commission, they are the deciding party on a sale being attributed to ShopBack.

There are quite a few reasons why these orders may not be attributed to ShopBack. This includes:

        1. If a user clicks on a Honey, Cashrewards, or another chrome extension after clicking from ShopBack
        2. If other web pages (including search sites, social media, store sites, promotional/discount sites) or web browsers are opened after clicking through ShopBack
        3. Clicking through to another page from a banner, pop-up, or advertisement on the store’s webpage whilst shopping
        4. Antivirus/Cleanup or Adblocker applications block or disrupt cashback tracking (Tracking cookies are required to track transaction)
        5. When the order falls under the merchant’s exclusions, including the use of promo codes not listed on ShopBack.

That said, we know how frustrating missing Cashback can be, and will now take additional steps to appeal on your behalf directly with -.

Please allow us some time for this to happen, this process can take up to 35 days depending on how fast we hear back from -.

        • ah ok. i have challenged their explanation once and contacted the vendor directly and turns out the explanation was incorrect.

But that was just once, but was my biggest purchase.

  • I could see 1 / 70 winners (with 267 participants)..just worried that the $100 cashback doesn't seem guaranteed, as you wouldn't know if 70 have already done the transaction but not yet reflected in the competition

  • is this applicable to their ebay store or just the dell website? if so how…

    • +1

just Dell website. You need to enter the competition from your mobile app.

  • Says 2/70 used for me which doesn't seem very realistic. I managed to succesfully get Dell cashback through shopback last year even with using promo codes.

    • It is realistic. I was the second one it seems.

      • May I ask when did you make the purchase?

      • How long did tracking take?

      • yeah it seems to be the case. I did mine around 5.30pm AEDT and was possibly the 5th one. Got a status as Challenge Completed and Reward Pending. Fingers crossed now.

        • 3:30pm via app and nothing here

          • @finnybro: strange as I did through the app as well. hoping you didn't apply any vouchers / promo codes. and also started the challenge through the mobile app

            • @Avalanche: Nope. Thought about using LOVEKEANU but the $100 made me think it was worth the risk

  • +1

successfully made purchase of dell insipiron laptop through shopback mobile on 5:30 pm and the order was tracked just now with exactly 10% cashback. it seems that I am the 7/70 of the winner. so not many people actually made the purchase. pretty decent deal with extra 200+$ off upon the original black Friday discount.

    • Which model inspiron?

    • how long did it take to track and tell you?

      • it emailed me 3hrs after the confirmation email from dell

        • Thanks, mine still hasn't tracked. Very annoying.

          • @taoz: Mine too. 23 hours still no tracking. 99% of my previous transactions tracked without problem.

            • @Roujuzi: I used app also. Very annoying. Usually get tracked quickly.
Don't want to have to be returning it if this offer doesn't get honoured

              • @taoz: We are in the same boat. I will let you know if mine got tracked.

                • @Roujuzi: Still nothing. Absolute joke. Don't have any issues apart from when there is extra promos.

                  • @taoz: I’m waiting for 48 hours. If no tracking by 9:40am tomorrow I will report missing cashback. If the deal is not honoured I will have to cancel the transaction because it is a frustrating experience.

                    • @Roujuzi: I'm in the same boat as both of you guys. Did screen record the checkout but not sure how much that's gonna help

                    • +1

@Roujuzi: Mine didn't track. I reported missing cashback and it took a week and Dell negated the request although shopback shows clickthrough and purchase was all within a 5 minute gap. Shopback will then appeal it which takes up to 35 days. Stressful process not even worth it to be honest.
Dell offers a 15 day return from date of invoice. You can open and use your product and if you don't like it, you can return it within 15 days from final invoice for a full refund. No restocking fee.

                      • +1

@denandenan21: I wont be taking any risks. Not going hold onto it for them to decline. if it doesnt track, i will be sending it straight back.

Its ridiculous someone needs to do report this BS to the accc. they are advertising offers that dont get fulfiled.

                        • @taoz: I have cancelled my order. Cashback did not track and it took 14/30 days (did not remember the number) to investigate. No thanks, I just cancelled.

                          • @Roujuzi: Looks like I will be doing the same.
Still nothing, I have until tonight. Next to no chance now, when normally it's straight away.

This is bait advertising nothing short. These cashback company need to honour there promos.

I might try order again via another account

                          • @Roujuzi: Mine didn't track as well… I placed my order on 23rd, and going to received the order today.

May I ask how did you cancelled your order? Do you selected "change of mind" as the return reason? And do you get full refund? Will there be any restocking fee?

                            Thanks,

                            • @vfgb: Hi I called to cancel and my reason is cashback deal did not get honored. No question asked. He checked and told me it has been shipped, but he had submitted a stopship request and if it does get delivered I just tell the delivery guy about the cancellation and refund. I was told I’m getting full refund in 5-7 business days.

                              • @Roujuzi: That is good. Thanks

                              • +1

@Roujuzi: I've.told shopback to sort it or I cancel the order. I will just return deliverly.
No tracking on mine. Absolute joke.

    • You must be lucky.
Tried2 seperate accounts, neither tracked and on two diff phones all via the app.

  • +1

In cashback we trust….. cashrewards not shopback. They never get their security in order. Your privacy and data is not worth the time

  • +1

Someone tried to login to an email account I've only used for Shopback. Do not use this service unless you want your data sold to scammers.

  • Now tried two seperate accounts and neither have tracked. Absolute joke.
And every other purchase I made in this time tracked

  • Has anyone had their appeals succeed? I've missed the boat for the Black Friday sales, but am minded to cancel my order if they don't sort my claim out soon.

    • Specifically this or in general?

      • This, i didn't use Lovekeanu or any other coupons so I'd get 10% plus the extra $100. Now shopback are saying I don't qualify because I must have had other tabs open or used an extension or something inside the Shopback app. They're appealing, but don't want the order if I don't qualify. It never occurred to me that I might not even get the 10% cash back.

        • its bad.

  • I’m yet another victim of the failed Dell tracking debacle. I’ve contacted them to cancel my $5000 order for an XPS-17. Seems like blatant mis-selling to me…..Oh well, it’s a lesson learned.

  • I just received an email from Debra at Shopback mentioning the following:

"The MCB is failed to approve due to this reason: ConvertedAmount is above threshold (350 AUD)"
