That surprises me. We have hoselink fittings that are still going strong at around 20 years old (along with a hose and reel that are just a few years old,) and in all that time just had a couple of O rings that needed replacing.

I must say their products are much superior than the ones you find at Bunnings, it's great that Hoselink are at least giving you fixes for the issues with their product. I've purchased various products and whilst they're expensive, you do get what you pay for.
Id agree with a little of both. We just got some hoselink products. First one leaked, customer service instantly sent a replacement which didnt leak, didnt have issues since.
I got 4 reels at the start of the year and they have been flawless. Replaced overpriced Holmon kits from Bunnings which wouldn't retract, leaked.
No regret so farNeeded a new hose. Also if you sign up to the newsletter (popup when you get to their site) you get an extra $10 off. Code was NEWIN2020

I WISH Hoselink were good, but I've had issues with virtually every single product of theirs I've bought (tap splitter, several connections, hose reel, leader hose, spray head). Their customer service is really lovely and helpful, but needing to go back time and time again to get a replacement for something that's inexplicably leaking is so frustrating. They've brought me more grief than they have joy.
