Awesome as long as your not planning on using a 2500k or 2600k

No point getting a K series, since this motherboard is not built for overclocking.

  • I thought the K series had the onboard video ?

    • I think the K series are unlocked

      • all of the sandy bridge cpu have inboard video.

        • Technically some of the Sandy Xeons don't have GPU

      • Yes "K" series are unlocked

  • i5 2500 has HD 2000 graphics
    i5 2500k has HD 3000 graphics

$75.00 at PC Case Gear, nice find.

    • In practice, with HD3000's QuickSync is about 2x the speed of HD2000. To those who do a lot of transcoding with QS-compatible software, this is a lot more valuable than any overclocking.

  • I'm still rocking an Intel Core 2 Duo

    hehehe

Any motherboards still supprt these that includes USB3.0?

    • Buy an expansion card?

  • "Saving of $19 bucks."
    "Eastern States $19 5-7 days"

    :(

The postage really kills the total cost. So $49 + $19 = $68 similar to MSY's price $69. Netplus's price is totally not attractive for the people in eastern states.

Ozbargain is not just for 'the people in the eastern states'.

Don't neg something just because you personally can not benefit…..

In essence the negative vote is a warning. A warning about being a scam, spam, defective product or a better deal exists already. It is not for saying that the price doesn't match some preconceived idea of what a bargain is in terms of percentage off. Postage costs can be negatively voted against, if it takes the total deal over the price of a product that can be obtained from another supplier. But please use common sense, if this other supplier is not national, then while it might be more expensive for some, it may not be for others.

        http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines

        • Reason why people vote "-" is because it's intuitive, and OzBargain's definition of "Negative Vote" is dumb, hence newbies inevitably do the unintended thing.

          Any reasonable person would consider "+" as I like it/agree; "-" as I don't like it/disagree.

If OzBargain want a "Warning" type of vote, why not introduce a "!" counter?

      • Is that still not a $1 saving? And that price gets it delivered to your door. No need to swim through the mass of people in MSY to find out that it's out of stock. So really, your logic shouldn't lead to a neg. This is OzBargain after all.

    • No deal.

As has been discussed many times, these guys are in Perth and are a little pricey on shipping to the eastern states. Please don't troll for this reason, it has happened before and is completely unoriginal.

  • Domingo.
bentans comment is original to me. We don't all come here everyday and study every deal.
The motherboard is a great price but they are also making a few bucks on the freight.
An Australia Post 3kg overnight satchel only costs $11.20

    • The price is tricky if combined with the freight. That's the way they normally do.

I never said that bentan was trolling. If it was directed at him, I would have replied to his post rather than to the thread. It was an attempt at stopping this thread from devolving similarly to all the previous threads from netplus.

It's a good deal for WA people, like cheap nappies are a good deal for people with babies. Plenty of deals are specific to fairly large demographics (I consider WA to be a large demographic) and still get lots of votes.

Australian online stores love the postage gouge

  • I could use an H61 upgrade from the old core2 box. But was thinking that micro-ATX is a bit of a dinosaur these days, and mini-ITX with pci-e slot is the way to go. With everything USB now, I might never buy another PCI or PCI-e card again, except maybe a display card. Is it time to say goodbye to the ATX standard for desktop use?
