Are there significant differences in performance between these two cards?
Supposedly better cooler on the Gaming X, so should boost slightly higher vs Ventus, and IMO the Gaming X looks nicer. I would've linked the Ventus, but for some reason their Ventus is $4 more. Gaming X is definitely the better of the two.

Would the Super Gaming X be a worthy upgrade from the GTX 970 for $309?
I'm also upgrading from the GTX970, worth the upgrade at this price point.
