  My personal experience with this, absolute rubbish. Wouldn't get a signal on 2nd floor in a very open plan house (even when I'm close to diagonal from it) , thought it was crappy internet until I bought a Google Mesh to try. The Asus 68u for 2/3 of the price worked way better.

    bit of a conflicting experience here

    been using this same taipan for almost 3 years now. Been excellent for me. Zero issues with signal, still connects to the wifi from outside my driveway and second floor of my house. Streams 60GB 4K content to my TV instantly. The web portal UI & UX is great and straightforward, so is the phone app.

      I looked on Whirlpool and it seems like a few others have the same experience as me, with no solution. So annoying as we got it for around $450-500. It's weird as my room is directly above the modem and it's fine, yet anywhere outside 10 steps of my room is a dead zone.
