please provide a few examples in your post.

wow what retarded pricing, never even heard of this brand… is it good?

    Sale price: $372.35
    Normal price: $744.70

who pays 750 for a whipper snipper!?

my 30cc ryobi brush butter was only 200 normal price! - and that was one of the more expensive ones!

    • +3

Yeah, one of the more expensive … at Bunnings. And I'll bet they told you all about the two year replacement warranty on the Ryobi. Handy, because I had mine replaced 3 times in that period. I wouldnt recommend a Ryobi to anyone who uses a whipper snipper regularly, they just wont last.

Having said that, I got a Husqvarna brush cutter for around this price, and Stihl is only a little bit more, and both are better brands than Echo in my opinion. So no deal for me.

      EDIT: I didnt neg you.

      • thanks branko

  • Hi wisc - these products come with a 5 Year Domestic or 2 Year Commercial warranty and are built to last. ECHO is wholly Japanese made and has been around for over 30 years. They're a contractors tool of choice.

    • probably shouldnt have said retarded price, but seems expensive.

  • Unsure of specific models & how good the price is, but ~$400 for a bike handle-bar brushcutter from a quality brand seems pretty good to me.
Update: Though I do know their normal price for Shindaiwa T230XR brushcutter is very good, compared to small-engine shops around me.

Brush? You mean bush? We call 'em Whipper Snippers down under mate.

    • Brush? You mean bush? We call 'em Whipper Snippers down under mate.

Actually, no, they're two different things, and 'brush'cutter is correct.

      • Bush would imply they can cut down trees.

  • Great deal. These are the real deal when you want a decent machine, not to be confused with line trimmers. The extra spent on a good build and higher horsepower will drastically increase your productive work rate.

  • Those ride on mowers are also reasonably well priced for a smaller engined version

  • Is there an extra charge for pickup of an assembled unit?

    • Hi theguru1, no extra charge for you to pick up the assembled unit from our Keysborough Warehouse. All we ask is that you be available to collect during business hours.
