Came across this deal while looking for a decent motherboard for my Ryzen Mini-ITX build. Looks like a good price.

  • It's a good price, but there's really no reason to go X570 over B550 for ITX is there?

    • The chipset link on b550 is only PCIE x3, theres more 10G USB3 (and USB3 overall), more lanes for stuff like m3. The boards also tend to have better vrm

The only difference for connectivity between gigabyte b550 itx and x570 itx is the 2nd m.2 slot is gen 3. So if you've got 2 gen 4 drives, go x570. Otherwise, it makes no difference. The pcie lanes become more interesting on larger boards with more slots, but itx isn't all that crazy.

The vrms on the b550 itx boards are generally slightly better than the x570 itx boards, with the exceptions of the cheap asrock board (not the phantom gaming one) and the asus one (they reaalllly cheaped out on the b550 itx model).

I've got this gigabyte x570 itx and it's been awesome! This is $100 less than I paid.

EDIT: lol got beaten to it ^

In the context of the Gigabyte boards here, the X570 and B550 offers the exact same back IO ports (and layout), same internal storage ports of 2 M.2 slots + 4 SATA, same 2 USB3.2 + 2 USB2 front header. In fact, going down the spec sheet briefly, the difference between the Gigabyte X570 and B550 is the X570 uses intel Lan, while B550 is Realtek Lan (well the X570 also have a fan for the chipset too).

      • Nearly bought the gigabyte b550 aorus master but at the minute decided on the gigabyte x570 aorus master. So happy with my decision now but can't buy my bloody cpu or GPU to go with it because of no stock. F#CK

  • I think the b550i mobos have 2.5Gbit LAN.

  • are these able to be updated without old cpu to use with the 5600x

  • Hmm this or the Asus B550i for ~$325? 🤔
