[SUBS] Mulan - Free for All Disney+ Subscribers (Was $34.99 for Premier Access)

16614

Australia and China may not agree on a lot of things at the moment, but one thing we can agree on is that Mulan cost a truck load of money to make

As per the What Hi-Fi? site it’s now on general release for all Disney + Subscribers

https://www.whathifi.com/au/advice/mulan-hits-general-releas…

I cannot confirm the quality of the movie but I know that a lot of people have been waiting for it to fall under the normal Disney+ subscription

Enjoy, and don’t get too political 😂

It might be "free" but it'll be costing you 88 mins of your life you'll never get back… Just sayin'

The movie was complete and utter garbage. Perfect example of how creative quality story telling comes a distant second to ideology and socio-political signalling in much of hollywood. Its as if they thought only kids without fully developed brains would watch it.

You can tell who is in the 50c army by their defensive posts. They will have a fun time when the new Australian cyber security law is running that will give power for law enforcement to takeover ownership of their accounts.

    • Like…. Censorship to tackle sedition? Lol.

In these trying times we should boycott Mulan even more. The tariffs are gonna affect lots of Australians and we should not watch anything supported by the CCP. Plus the movie is so much worse than the original cartoon.

I'm against China's action but that not going to stop be seeing the most talked about movie of the year in the bargain of a 1 mth subscription .

I'll watch my Star Wars series as well and will cancel after the month and time it for the kids to have some content during the school holidays .

    A true bargain :)

    1. Lead actress against HK
    2. Supports CPP
    • +1

Well aint she a real piece of work

  • Just getting my head around:
Disney charge their "Plus" subscribers a monthly charge, include video content that they produce, and this is considered a "deal".

  • +2

Not a fan of this movie, but disney should not have expected subscribers to pay on Top in first place..

    Not interested in the politics.

It was a dull movie, neither of my little kids cared for it either. Shame for me as I was looking forward to it.

  • The rating is even worse in China, 5/10 on douban.

All new released movies in Netflix should be deals too from now on.

  • Call of the wild is also new on Disney plus:

I had been looking forward to this movie for ages so I paid the $35 to see it day one. It was a bad movie. It lacked the heart of the animation and it lacked the strength of the Chinese film that was showing on SBS earlier this year. It was just a flat, forgettable imitation of the Mulan tale.

Thanks OP, just finished watching this movie.

Political issues aside, this movie doesn’t worth 35 dollars or 2 hours.

    • Thanks for letting us know, i havent watched it yet but it had a lot of people talking as this post has

  • If this is for the new Mulan then no deal!

    • crap movie
    • terrible actress who supports police brutality

    StandWithHongKong

    • +4

And also, at the end of the movie, it openly thanks the Chinese departments which were responsible for Xinjiang Uyghur concentration camps.

Stand with Hongkong people! Stand with Xingjiang people! Stand with human rights!

    • Dreadful Movie, not worth any amount of money as is.
    • Lead actress supports police brutality.
    • Product is funded propaganda for the CCP.
    • Not even a deal or bargain, about as much of a bargain or deal as any generic new listing on Netflix each month.
    • Movie was filmed on the location of a Uyghur concentration camp.

Shame on the mods & admin of this site for not de-listing this garbage.

  • +2

Not worth the watch even if free.

  • +2

Man I found this long winded and boring. Even if it’s free. It’s still too expensive. Waste of time and that’s more precious than gold.

  • +1

Horrible movie. This is about the price of admission it should have been.

  • Uhhh I don't think the movie is as bad as some people are commenting but it was definitely disappointing to watch if you were expecting anything like the 1998 animated film.

  • -1

    I just finished watching Mulan.

Its a nice movie by itself.

If you are expecting mushu, cricket, sing along song, you will be disappointed.

Ignore the whitefolk reviews. Its not that bad.

    • +1

Naa, its shit. Chinese dislike the American made movie also.

      • +2

        True!
This movie itself in China also received so many dislikes. Chinese said there is nothing really Chinese in the movie. They got so many things wrong, the writers knew nothing about China. Characters' personalities are not like Chinese, costumes and makeups are "less Chinese" than the cartoon, and the core of the story: the concept of Qi was wrong, and the relationship between a civilian and the emperor is not fitting the Chinese culture .
Not to mention how it was shot by CCP's departments' help in Xinjiang - The same departments that organized concentration camps.

    • I'm Chinese. It was shit.

  • +2

It's not free. It's simply been added into the normal subscription service with all of the other movies. This is not a deal.

  • +3

    Boycott this CCP movie!
Especially it openly thanks those Xinjiang government departments which were responsible for concentration camps, and the main actress openly pro Hongkong police's actions.
