S10 is a better value at the same price. They should have discounted the 10e more

    • S10E still available?

      • Agree S10E is quite expensive…

        • +1

S10E was sold for $599 almost a year ago. 699 gotta be joking

          • @Top G:

            699 gotta be joking

It's actually worse than that, S10E is $799

    • Not if you want the smaller flat screen phone.

    • Without Snapdragon, not very compelling.

  • Any one know how long the warranty is on this (standard 2 yrs Samsung)? Thanks

    • +1

Should be 2 if they are factory sealed, that's what the warrant insert for note 9 states.

However, you may not get anymore updates given the age/only a short period left for s10/10e. From security standpoint the other deals for the 2020 FE or pixel 4a/5 phones are better at about the same price.

      • Yeah still waiting for 4a (non 5G) to get cheaper

        • 4a is $0 with Telstra plan at JB in case that works out for you.

          • @bajirao: Any info on this deal?

Edit: oh it's on a $99 plan. No thanks.

            • @boretentsu: Yeah that's why i mentioned it's useful only if the plan works out for you else it's cheap to buy outright with today's 5% discount + 20% discounted gift cards if you were able to get them last Saturday.

              • @bajirao:

                5% discount + 20% discounted gift cards

Oh didn't know the 20% gift cards

                • +2

@superforever: It was 10% tcm for him and for her cards on sale at Big W which can be used at JB. Pay via Gpay or apple pay on Saturday using zip card for additional 10% cash back.
This week those cards are on sale at woolies so you can try on Saturday and if you are lucky your local woolies will have them in stock. There are T&Cs so go thru the respective deal posts to avoid any surprises

      • You're wrong, Samsung made an announcement months ago that they're bringing 3 updates to the S10 and newer flagships. That means it will be getting Android 12, up-to-date until September 2022.

  • dang the S9+ and S9 were a decentish deal… (64gig) .. oh well

    • didn't last long, wonder how many they actually had.

      • would have been a great temp fix for my note8 battery woes .. haha def weren't many around or the staff took most and resell them on ebay .. haha

Why wouldn't you get s20 fe instead?

      Note 9 - 3.5mm Jack

      • +1

        And S-Pen.

        • And no notch/camera in the top middle of the screen. Yeah its not full screen but Id prefer this over a big dot on my screen.
If I could have any phone I want for a reasonable price (below 800, spending that on a phone is nuts to me) the note 9 is what Id get.
          I had my eye on…..
          https://www.phonebot.com.au/refurbished-handsets/samsung-ref…
…second hand note9 128gig Like new for $559 for ages, but ended up cheaping out and ordering a Poco x3 ($280). Apparently it has a hide notch mode, but even then it looks like you end up with a flat top and curved bottom screen (not ideal).

      • So buy a 2+ year old phone to keep access to a 3.5mm jack…And then what? Just never upgrade to another flagship?…

I guess if that's what you really want then fair enough but it just seems like people hanging on for very little benifit now.

        • Maybe because theres a $250 difference (going by this and jb) and you dont care about any of the new features (really, what features) and you care about the above. Higher res screen on the note as well.

  • Lol, A11 @ $299 and A21s for the same. Others have the latter for $277.

Note 9 is the best phone I owned and probably the last complete phone for me as I still use wired earphones.

    • There's a lot of good Bluetooth DAC/amps out there now. I have a phone with a headphone jack but am using the dac/amp more because it actually sounds better and is more convenient.. Works with headset controls and mic, or they have their own mic if your headset doesn't. I've no anxiety over changing to phone without headphone jack now. I have the Fiio BTR5 for reference.

Crikey, an s9+, a 3 year old android phone, for $700? Many better options for new phones at or near this price.

    • Pixel is around this price brand new!!

    • How much should S9+ be?

  • So just placed an order and after payment realised I made a typo with the email address while multitasking. Any way to fix it other than a phone call with a long wait? :s

    • Setup the email address with the typo

      • Loved the idea. Tried it and found that typo email is already registered!! Panic station!

        • Unexpected haha, well send them and email and ask them to forward it to you 😂

    • some email carriers let you make email address Aliases, create one for the typo and it will go straight to your normal inbox.

      • But I've just discovered the typo email is already registered :s I'm assuming this means the alias trick won't work? Also means an extremely long phone call wait with Aussiepost:(

  • Prices seem average?

  • Looking for a s10e size phone 5.5 inch screen for up to $400 . Using sharp aquos 2 at moment but it's nearly dead. Want one I can use out of the box. thanks

    • Have an Aquos S2 SD660 6GB/128GB running LOS 17.1. Still no small dual sim phone available to replace it.

      • +1

Bummer hah, was thinking of getting another aquos, it was a big hassle getting it up and running though

  • I knew Aus post sold phones but thought basic not flagships. I've been waiting to buy an S10e but of course it's out of stock 😔
