Hey Oz Bargins!

As promised the Dunlop Volley $10 sale is back. We have fixed the site and we have loaded it up again. It starts at 9am tomorrow. There is only one mandatory… YOU NEED TO BE LOGGED IN TO THE SITE AS A MEMBER - SO YOU NEED TO SIGN UP AND JOIN. You will not be able to see the price at $10 unless you are logged in - otherwise it will come up as a $35 shoe. Just follow the link above and it will all work. But if you do navigate the range - jsut look for the Volley $10 styles tab.
Some sizes are very limited - but youth and certain colours are really well represented. Good luck and happy shopping.

      Yeah very limited - but we did promise Oz Bargain we would be back - so we are back with everything we have. there are plenty of sizes in youth - so good for Xmas presents and there are sizes in some of the other colour like black…..

    Hey VolleyShoes,
    Do you guys answer to emails at all? I've sent two separate emails on different occasions but have received no replies. So while you are active here, could you please tell me whether or not the Volley Safety shoes (Black) for men are available in any retail stores? I know BigW have white ones only.

    In stores are $50 and online is $60, hmm. Anyway size 9US is out of stock at the moment, any chance of getting them back any time soon?

      Pretty sure I've seen the black safety shoes in-store at my local Big W. Not that it really helps, as Big W are crap at stocking standard sizes of any of the Dunlop sneakers, so you're stuffed unless you want a 13.

      Yeah, because we evolved over billions of years wearing highly padded shock-absorbing footwear with lots of arch support and gel cushions and stuff. Our bodies are not set up to survive without them. Minimalist soft-soled shoes, or even worse, going barefoot, is bad for you.

        To play devils advocate, these days we live a lot longer than we're meant to. In the past people didn't live long enough to need knee reconstructions or hip replacements (or if they did, they didn't survive for long afterwards).

        If I gave you a product designed to have a lifespan of 5 years (when used as instructed) but told you that you would have to use it for 20 years, you might be wise to take extra precautions when using it which might not be mentioned in the instruction manual.

    Only my size (US 7 Mens) in the black colour :(

    They were in stock in the green/gold last night, but seems like they have either sold out with all the big sizes being brought back into stock, or removed from the sale.

    It's funny how these shoes have made a resurgence. When I was at highschool (in the 90s) these shoes were look upon with contempt. People who couldn't afford Air Jordan 5's or Reebok Pumps would have to settle for the dodgy Dunlop Volley.

    Nowadays I see kids wearing them all the time, accompanied with their iPads and iPods. Who would have thought?

    Still there's a reason they cost $10…

    So I'm currently wearing size 11 volleys bought from big w. Is this size the U.S or the U.K size? Which size should I be purchasing?!

      In Australia, sizes are normally based on US standards; for example if you were to ask the staff for a size 11, they would have brought you a size 11 US, and that would be size 10 UK.

        Actually with this shoe - the sizing is UK… its an old legacy issue that dates back many years…. so go with a UK11

          Looks like I might have got the wrong size when ordering, I guess I'll wait to find out.

          I'm usually a size 8 in Volleys so I went a UK7/US8 it also says 41 which I fit in another shoe.

          That's the only problem buying shoes online unless you are certain.

          there are two size measurements printed on the shoe itself (well three if you want to be technical, euro size too), if you normally wear US11, I would think it'll be US11, no? US11 just means it's UK10, and if it was UK11 then it'll just mean that shoe is US12.
          if you have bought it from BigW, there should be a size tag attached inside, if you have bought size US11 (since stores usually go by US sizes), I'm pretty sure it'll be US11, not UK.

    Are volleys sizes same as normal running shoes? As in, for example with Chucks, you need to get 1 size smaller than your average running shoes size due to the fact there's no foam lining inside. Is it the same deal for volleys?

    I normally wear US8 running shoes.

          well I got my first order today it was shipped on Tuesday so four days to Sydney. My second order made ~ 12 hours later has still not been shipped.

          A phone call said it would ship on Monday but an e-mail was replied to saying check your status online not telling me when it would go. Fingers crossed that one gets here before Christmas that is the one I wanted more. (And if it came in the advertised 7 days I would have had it on Thursday)

          For your ones maybe chuck them on ebay there not always this cheap so you might make some money to go to the different size (if not i wonder if you could return to a chain store - is there any special markings that say these are direct?)
