Hi… Very new to the concept of inserting a data sim into a 4G modem

Does the optus data sim work with general modem? Or does it have to be Optus branded 4G Modem?

Hopefully someone can enlighten me. thanks

i got this guys and u cant use the sim in their 4g router, its blocked, gona have to neg optus.

  That’s exactly what they say categorically in their terms and conditions for this plan - Not to be used in a data modem - so what’s the surprise or fail here?
  
  Just buy a cheap data plan off them and then use Account pooling to share the data with your modem service
