    Time for ACCC.

    • I had the exact same thing happen. I've contacted their support twice with no response. I'll give them a few more days, then ACCC.

    • You referencing someone called Webtherapist who is a bit nut case and has no proof of their claims And the other link is the restaurant card, which is different from this one. So I dont see your point.

      • The comments on the fb page before they deleted them all did not bode well. I personally would not take the chance on this especially if it is actually a gift.

        • Were the comments about this card or the restaurant card?

          Restaurant card I wouldn't buy, but I am yet to see a complaint about a different card than the restaurant card.

              @Jimothy Wongingtons: Yeah given the number of cards sold and the rumor of people taking them from one store and pay for them at another store, I'm not surprised.

              They would have sold 10's of thousands of cards, there are hundreds of legitimate reasons why they had issues. 1. Most likely, their IT systems couldn't keep up 2. The dodgy card store rumour 3. Idiots who don't know how to use the cards. 4. 3rd party agreements failing through.

              I look at it as, there will always be people who complain but look at the complainers compared to the number of total customers.

              Also the poor support again is probably related to their management putting on the sale and not hiring enough support staff. Not malicious, just a pain in the arse.

                @frazel: Some great guesses there, but that's all they are.

                As for actual observed actions of the company:

                • It is actively deleting negative Facebook posts
                • Removed the merchant checker function from the card pages
                • Failed to activate some cards, and
                • Removed the 1300 support number from its site.

                These are observations made by multiple people. There are a range of other concerns which are detailed on this site and elsewhere.

    Beware people, who still remember dicksimith GiftCard on sale when later 2015 then company called liquidation?

    • I remember the transition period where it was a breeze to get rid of the em even at other businesses that accepted the cards .
      You make out that like over night everyone got caught with DS cards .

    I just did a JB HiFi order with the 10% Him and Her cards. No drama. However I am questioning the business’ viability to be able to do 10% off gift cards consistently. There’s no such thing as a free lunch, so who’s paying?

    • I’d say there’s a merchant fee at the issuer and at the redeeming restaurant.

  • This is the company deleting negative Facebook post, which recently delete the 1300 support number from its website, and which removed the search function from the Pub/Bar and Restaurant gift card pages.

    A number of posts have claimed that they have been unable to use this card at merchants which previously accepted the card.

    Worst customer service ever, buying it means u r assigning urself a big time consuming task to chase them for ur declined transactions or zero balance
