  • This deal is $43 cheaper but locked to the Vodafone network - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/589529
So if you factor in the $50 unlock fee and lack of accessories and charger then this deal is better value for money.

  • Not worth it for $39

    • How is it not worth a $39 saving from going direct to Apple?
Looks like you get all the benefits you'd get from going direct with Apple regardless.

24 month warranty via Apple Australia and it's Aussie stock.
OP has a physical store so it isn't some grey market shady site.

How does having a physical store mean it's not a grey import? Not saying it is, but I don't see how it guarantees it isn't.

Apple gives you 14 days of change of mind return. Great opportunity to test out the phone to see if it suits your needs.

      • no easy 14 days return/refund if you don't like it or has a problem.

    • Agreed. “Lose money”, or not, it’s barely worth it.

You're normally right but Apple products are never on sale nor is there margin in them that would satisfy the Ozbargain community definition of a "bargain" :)

  • Wow! Who would have thought earphones and charger come with a phone?

    • I haven't used the included charger or headphones that come with my phones for over for five years.

    • For Apple this makes a lot of sense tbh. They put it in their dumb watt charger + earpods that don't sound great so not a major loss. Of course they don't pass on the price difference, but that's expected from Apple.

Android companies better not start taking their fast chargers out of the box..

Don’t talk like you have some kind of power over this. You’ll do as you’re told and fall into line like everyone else.

        • Don’t talk like you have some kind of power over this.

          Uh, I do?
Unlike iPhones, there's this magical thing that exists in Android called competition! It lets me choose between products! Isn't that amazing?

This is basically the headphone jack all over again. If you're on iOS you gotta deal with it. If you're on Android, you still have strong options.

Of course, an iPhone user has to just do what they are told and fall in line like a good little sheep so I understand your confusion in the matter.

  • With the 24 Month Apple Australia Warranty, does it mean I can walk to any Apple store in my city? no need to be the Apple store in Sydney? or do I need to send the phone to you first and you take the phone to fix at Apple store in Sydney? Sorry for a noob question. Thanks.

Apple warranty is valid for any Apple store or their Authorised Service Centre. Within the first year, you can even walk into Apple in the USA or anywhere in the world and they would service it. Their second year warranty is due to Consumer Law warranty, only applicable to Australian store.

  • Zombie phone

  • So cute when inclusion of earphones and charger in box is used for marketing !!

    • They simply state that their version (old stock) has it included. So you get the earphones and charging block with this deal where you don't get it (anymore) if you buy it from eg Apple directly.

  • Reckon there is a chance for an OW price beat?

  • Any deals on the 128GB version?
