  • 1080p recording with maximum of 64GB of storage and an available cloud storage service. This sound not-good in general or is it just me?

    • Better value than the Arlo POS.

    • Should be a reasonably priced and good deal for a battery-powered camera. You can place it indoor/outdoor in the wifi range and it's totally wire-free.

Battery's die every month not cheap to buy new one .

    • +2

The battery is rechargable by the way. I've had mine for 2 years and no issues with the batteries.

    • I have the solar panel and it works perfectly.

    • Hi. It's a rechargeable battery and motion-triggered recording can save the power for long term use.
And we have 2-year warranty for customers. If the battery somehow died within the warranty, you can contact to get support and replacement.

  • This camera is well underated. Have a few and happy with them

  • How's the starlight sensor for night vision also can it record constantly to SD card or just when it's tripped by motion

    • It's only triggered by motion.

  • So if I wanted 4 for around the house, only one will have free cloud storage?

    • If only one account and the answer is yes. But you can always have the recording saved on local SD card and accessed from remote in your Reolink phone app.

  • This question is going to sound weird but here goes:

    Q. What is the preset distance of this camera ?

I want this as a front door setup, but if its zoomed in way too much then it's useless. What specification do i look at to determine if this would work as a front door cam (see who is there, parcel delivery)

    • Hi. You may check the guidance here

  • Note these are easily stolen.

From a previous thread I was lead to believe it was secure. It is not.

  • Hi. The installation guide suggests to put it up 2-3meters high, which is not an easily stolen height.
And this Argus Pro is not like Argus 2 that has a magnet mount. It comes with a bracket mount and would take a while to be taken down, and you would get notifications when the theft is in the act.

    • -1

That's nice. 2-3m is not often achievable.

The bracket undoes with a quick turn.

Notifications are not enough to stop it lol.

  • Has anyone got these to display on a Google nest when it detects?

    • +1

Hi. This can only display on a Google nest when you give a voice wake-up command, e.g. "Hey Google, show me the camera".

  • The cheapest was Argus 2 with solar panel under $110

  • Hey OP where can I get a spare battery for Argus 2? Also is the Argus 2 battery able to be used with the Argus Pro?

    • Hi. Yes, they have the same batteries. You may contact [email protected] via email to see if they can help with a spare battery.

  • Will this work with Reolink NVR?

    • Hi. I'm afraid not. You can only access the battery-powered cameras via Reolink Client and Reolink App.
Besides, the camera only stores the motion detection recordings in the inserted micro SD card.

      • Hey, is the deal still on?

  • On that link you posted for the add I can't see in the description about starlight sensor only the more expensive camera's

  • Can I install this up side down? Thinking to secure it on the ceiling?

Second question. How close the subject from camera to trigger motion detection? 1? 2 metres?

    • Yes option in app to turn it upside down. Mine seems to trigger at 4 meters okay.
      Great camera.

  • Does this camera support recording to NVR?

  • Just remember guys this has not starlight sensor as stated in the Op

  • Have 3. All with solar panels.. They are amazing

  • Thanks, OP- ordered one..

  • @Dealbest is the deal still on?
