    Ummmm the temptation to keep ordering. What number should you stop at?

    • Well there’s a point where it would be wasted time due to cancellation.
      So however much time you’re willing to risk as wastage.

        Do you think Telstra, given it sends three modems for one order and can't track its own activities, will track how many of these an account ordered? Doubt it. But two is fair I think.

    I haven’t even been with Telstra for like 10 years, but owing to a $15 persistent credit that’s too much hassle to have refunded and close my account, I still have an active Telstra plus ID and 1000 point balance, so this is maximum ridiculous for me to grab a pair - thanks OP!

  • So these things don't lead to exuberant amount of orders, OzBargain should implement something that once it hits X amount of clicks on the deal (maybe set up by the poster), the offer disappears. Just so it doesn't get abused by the masses and increase chance of cancelled orders.

    That said…nothing can stop pure greed from people who think they need 5 pairs of earphones which ruins this idea…

      They'll either have to cancel all or honour all. If a corporation has the capability to catch a mistake like this of course they'll use it but let's see how sophistimicated Telstra is with their systems these days. :)

      • I think it speaks for itself.
        On top of average human error, their inventory management system seems to be pretty crap. No way they had this amount of earphones laying around! haha

        • I think the orders come directly from suppliers and so they have no way of tracking once it's placed. I found that out the hard way recently with my XSX preorder. They couldn't even change the address.

      It wouldn't help anyone.

      The store itself is where they need to implement a limit on how many you can buy

      • How would it not help "anyone" if a minority of people get it (first come first serve) and it minimises the chances of no one getting it?

        • Do you see how fast deals become out of stock here? Minutes. You can't fine tune that. It simply doesn't work. It'll just piss ozbargain users off.

          You can't support something which literally doesnt work.

          All stores should have a buying limit by default. That's what needs to happen.

    Sometimes I don't know why some OPs lets Ozbargain know of these mistakes when it decreases their own chance of receiving the item.
