    That price.

    • +2

Definitely not a deal at any other time but it's a weird time right now.

  • +8

Beware the long processing and dispatch time.

    • +2

And no option anymore to request cancellation once it is in processing status.

  • +8

    Definitely not a deal :)

I prefer the reference model and the original price is $1699. But jacking express is selling them at $1999 and they are in stock https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/search-results?q=6900%20x…

    • +2

Interesting, wondering why you prefer the reference model over this?

      • My best guess would either be aesthetics, or compatibility with waterblocks in case they're thinking of water cooling it.

  • +1

    Sooo Cheap. LOL

  • +1

    Thanks, grabbed some as stocking-stuffers

    • Let me guess, you got at least 5 of them yea?

    • +3

My driveway is steep, I use them to chock my back tyres.

      • +1

I lol to much at that comment

  • wont exist

"Order now and it ships on 24/02/2021"

I reckon if you ordered a covid vaccine, it'd arrive sooner

After watching benchmarks of cyberpunk running on 6800xt without dlss or raytracing, these new amd cards really lose their appeal. Game looks a lot more dull and even struggles at 1440p.

    • +4

Do note Cyberpunk is one of the poorest optimized games.

      • +1

I raise you medal of honour beyond

      • Thats true but another example is cod cold war, 6800xt with 4k RT is unplayable.

        • Yea anything RT is a clear win for Ampere cards. Most other games they are pretty on par

    • Gotta say dlss looks blurry as hell for me in cyberpunk

      • +1

dlss performance isnt great for visuals, but the dlss quality seems real good to me?

        • You mean the framerate? Yeah i guess it will be faster than native.

          • @Jenny Death: No I mean the blurriness you are talking about. There are different types of dlss that focus on different things.

      • Yep I tried playing with DLSS Quality at 1440p and the overall blurred image was off putting, the other issue was temporal jaggies, moving around the lower native res would rear it's ugly head and you'd see stepping on tiles power lines etc.

    • You must be blind mate. Cyberpunk looks fantastic on my 6900xt. I've tried both (own a rtx3080 & 6900xt) Try turning up the resolution from 1080p on the YouTube vids

      • Lol, what res are you playing on? Surely missing out on raytracing and have no chance of running smoothly at 4k.

  • And it’s gone

  • Is this faster than a rtx 3080? How much faster?

    • yes and no.. and not by enough to warrant the price

your better off waiting for 6800 non XT … better than 3070 just under the 3080 .. 6800XT is better than 3080. However if you want any Raytracing or DLSS dont even bother with the AMD cards, only good for rasterization :)

    • Plenty of reviews out there for that information.
Would be best to factor in which kind of games you're interested in too.

    • +2

You would have to compare at 4k to get a good idea. It's a little faster (without dlss). But the 3080 can sometimes win on specifically optimised games. Given the price of the 3080 this would be the better buy but if comparing RRP then the 3080 is the better buy.

  • Requires 900w PSU!

Think of all the money you save on heating your room so it pays for itself. LOL

Even better if you mine crypto

          Perfect for summer.

  • Used to be able to get a full top notch gaming system for this money not that long ago :(

Rose-tinted-glass-ism? I've been following PC hardware for almost 2 decades now (certainly not religiously, so I'm happy to be corrected!) and I don't recall a time when this was the case - especially not if correcting for the value of money over time.

      • Maybe not too notch but you could always build a decent gaming system for $2000 until this year. Gaming graphics cards of $2000-$3000 has been unheard of prior to the last couple of years.

        • Absolutely - but certainly "top notch" is what we're remembering here, right?

    • Jog our memory please?

      • $1900 used to be pretty much max specs eithout going minimal gains mode.

    • True and said gaming system runs like a dog on the latest AAA games. The performance jump this gen of GPUs is massive compared to previous gens and if you are on a budget get a next-gen console if you can get your hands on one
