Are you a teacher looking for new opportunities to engage and inspire your students? Each school holidays, the Museum offers free entry for teachers so they can experience everything we have to offer, including all exhibitions and experiences.

There's a wide range of engaging education programs and learning opportunities available that add ‘something extra’ to the everyday studies of thousands of primary and secondary school children each year. Children need to touch, see, listen and do to get the most from their learning experience. Contemporary education goes well beyond the classroom.

Our programs include onsite, offsite and even online experiences, all supported by comprehensive teacher resources that bring learning to life. With immersive learning opportunities, our museum’s knowledgeable and experienced educator team inspire learning that connects with students.

Teaching aids, extra information to extend their experience beyond the museum and multi-media resources make partnering with the museum an engaging experience for students.

Register online for a ticket using your .edu email address. Personal email addresses will not be accepted. Any other visitors (including children that accompany them) will need to purchase a ticket separately.

*If you do not have a valid .edu email address your ticket will be cancelled.

  Don't all school kids get a .edu email address?
  Are these distinguishable from those used by teachers, in which case free entry for any parent of school age kids?

    yes, different emails. the kids are .education rather than .edu

  I think Wildlife Photographer is still on then, and they've just installed the new exhibit Beach Couture in the lower galleries. Not sure if the free ticket is for Wildlife Photographer or Vampire (the battleship) though as not part of the front of house team.

  EDIT: but yes, please look after your health and others by being mindful of COVID-19 restrictions and recommendations in the first instance.

  I have been there couple of years ago. if there is nothing change since, entry should be FREE to ANYONE. entry fees is only for oversea visitors at a prime visitor location.

    We tend to change the exhibits every 6 - 9 months
