Is this model made in china or germany?

    • +5

      WAW is Made in Germany.

      • +3

So WAN is Made in China then?

        • LOL

        • -2

          WONG

        • -2

So WAN WANG is Made in China then?

          Fixed

        Wow

  • +1

What’s wrong with washing machine people so keens they made in German? FYI, all current OLED TVs are made in China.

    • +8

Just an option to choose where the money goes. But also the WAW models have longer warranty for the drum.

    • +6

Not true, first OLED factory in South Korea. Still making them.

Chinese made goods are generally inferior & break more easy

      • -2

My iPhone is not breaking easy.

        • +3

Which other phone have you compared with to reach this conclusion?

        • You probably got one that wasn’t assembled in China ;)

      • +1

Chinese made goods are generally inferior & break more easy

My Huawei Y550 is still rocking. Refuses to break ¯_(ツ)_/¯

      • I thought this was the case with S-Korean stuff.

      • +1

Could it be because Made in China goods generally gives bigger margins to the manufacturers?

Generally people pay less for Made in China goods and in general all these ungrateful consumers can only attribute the negatives towards Made in China for whatever reason.

      • Chinese made goods are generally inferior & break more easy

depends entirely on the product category. generalisations like this are ignorant

    • it's personal choice. It may offend some fragile people if I answer here.

    • +3

Because QA is subpar out of the factory in China. Just look at the reliability ratings for German made versus South African made BMWs or the Japanese made (for the domestic market) versus Chinese made TVs. Very different in terms of long term reliability.

      • Doesn't warrant a neg, and a TV made in China would have a better quality consistency then it be made in Germany, including any phones. I'd prefer them to made in china Tbh.

        • Lol why lie to yourself? I will take a phone or TV made out of korea any day, so would most the population of the world, heard of samsung.. they didn't get big making their products in China, or Sony etc, but it's good you say things to make yourself feel better haying inferior products ;)

  • Literally one in two washing machine posts are for this machine. I'm not sure why because it's never discounted much from its regular price. It's almost as if it's the only machine people search for simply because it's previously been talked about so much.

    • +2

things of quality don't get discounted a lot; only things that are cheap to produce are.

      It what you pay for.

      • +1

        It what you pay for.

If only that was always true.

      • If they need to get rid of the stock for new models next year, they'll put it on sale.

Quality is an irrelevant factor in many case.

  • Hoe does it compare to the LG 9kg WV5-1409W?

  • I'm in the market for a front loader, is this better or the german made ones ?

    • +3

I believe the German one is better, especially most top end models made in Germany. But i am not sure if it worth the money as i have this one which is not bad. ( my other opinions below)

    • -1

Its probably like asking if its better have an iPhone made in germany, probably no difference but more expensive

  • +1

Got this washing machine since August, everything is good include wash cycles choice, come out clean, gentle on clothes, able to add clothes after start, run quite ,energy rating is pretty good for water and power. Except, the drum size is small, especially depth, It will not fit 8kg clothes. It looking for a real 8kg washer or you want to stack a dryer on top (check the dept of your dryer), buy another brand or model.

    • Assuming itd still fit queen sheet set and do the job for 2-3 people?

      I know nothing about washers…

  • +3

I have had this washing machine for 2 months (the German version though - WAW) and it's fab, well worth the money, very energy and water efficient.

    • +2

I just got the german version too. Don't want china made ones….
