where is the $5 credit??? I Brought two hours ago, one order disappeared, the other one came without the extra credit?

  • Woot got one! Omg so many OzBargainers up early…

  • Thanks OP!

  • still active!

  • Thanks OP. Just manage to score 1

  • How would I know whether I am one of the 5000?
After I entered the promo code, it didn’t say that I qualified for the credit.

    • +6

I believe if you can supply the promo code then you have qualified.

      • Thanks! Keeping my fingers crossed.

    • +1

It tells you after you apply the code. It says something like congratulations…..

  • Appeared to be all good, I went to screenshot and accidentally hit the (stupid) Bixby key, forcing me to another screen.

When I came back, the code was no longer valid.

    Thanks Bixby.

    • If you clear your cart add another gift card it should come up with a promo banner saying you qualify under where the promo code goes. Similar thing happened to me, I clicked off the page and then tried to reapply but it wouldn't work.

      • Just noticed that, thanks!

When I signed in from PC, the code was pre-applied (still didn't appear on phone).

        Bixby still sucks.

    • +1

In settings you can change bixby key to 'double press to open bixby'. Should help those accidental presses.

You can then optionally choose to enable single press to open something else. I use it to open camera app.

    • Otherwise just contact customer service and say the code didn’t track and they will add it manually….Worked for the last $10 promo.

  • Based on the past they do more a lot more than 5k of them .
5k would have been gone first mins .

    • I remember when $3 & $5 discounts could be easily obtained from clicking on Amazon banner ads through Yahoo search.

This way is even more profitable for them since they lock in a non-refundable $50. They probably could offer this indefinitely with the one offer per account stipulation.

  • Thanks, managed to get one. Got a fee 12 months of prime recently too so the next day shipping with some recent deals has been awesome. Extra $5 definitely doesn't hurt

    • +1

      How'd you get free Prime?

      • Wonder the same

        • +2

Had an offer for 3 months free with Vodafone on a new plan, didn't do anything about it and then got a new message for 12 full months. If you have Vodafone it's called "pay with vodafone" to link the account.

    • Reckon the $5 credit can be put towards Prime membership?

  • still works. Thanks OP

  • +1

Code appears to still work at 7:30am AEST

  • Thanks OP - got 1

  • Thanks, code just worked

  • thanks OP got one

  • seems to be still going - got confirmation on the order

  • Hmm what am I doing wrong- promo code can’t be applied to my purchase…

  • thx got one.

  • Thanks OP, got one :)

  • Code just worked, let's see if I get the $5.

  • Thanks got one at 8.33 am.

  • Same, well it says coupon code redeemed.
    Cheers OP

  • Still working as of 1 minute ago. Many thanks OP, Merry Christmas.

  • Still working

  • Just redeemed it myself, thanks OP!

  • Got one, thanks

Was able to apply the code successfully, but was still charged the full $50 :(

    • +1

It's a credit that can be used for your next order. You will get an email about it in a day or 2.

    • You get $5 bonus credit for buying a $50 gc and pay $50. It’s not a $5 off deal.

  • So this has gone from the first 5,000 customers to everyone now?

  • I effed up the checkout and now the code is no longer available for me :(

    • Same here. I contacted customer service, they replied
apologize for the inconvenience experienced by you in this case. We never intend to provide such a service to our customers, please allow me to sort this out for you.
Once a code is applied to an Account it won't be available to get applied again. I would've loved to do this for you however Amazon doesn't allow us to do this for you as per policy.

      • They just manually gave me $5 credit as a once off exception.

  • 9:56am AEDT still works

  • Code just worked for me.. 10:12am Sydney.

  • Still work at 10.25am Sydney time

  • It's only useable on items sold and shipped from Amazon AU unfortunately.

I get $10 credits free from those whenever I complain about delayed shipping. I still have some because I don't buy from Amazon AU much, and when I do, I prefer to use my 28D card. Apparently you can't stack credits either.

    • Edit: Yep credit can only be used on Amazon AU

  • Still worked (coupon successfully applied at least), 11:48 AEDT

  • Yikes… redeemed, 11:48 … no email for $5 promo yet

    • Your promotional credit will be automatically applied to your account within 3 business days after your order is shipped (for physical gift cards) or the order being completed (for electronic gift cards)

      • Ahh k. Thanks! Thought that since there was already >5000 clicks on the link here, it might've been sold out

        • +2

Only way to know if the allocated redemptions are exausted is when the code doesn't work when applied. If you got the green light when applying the code, you're all good.

  • Says successfully applied. Assuming it worked

  • still working, just got one.

  • still works. Thanks OP, managed to get 1

  • Expired not working

    • My one said "redeemed" so I assume still working?
      Processed at 2:15pm

    • It's still working

      • Not for me :(

  • Not working when I try the code

    • You may have applied it to your cart then backed out and then attempted again. Once applied if you back out of the sale it won't work anymore

      • Just tried that no luck

        • Worked for me just now 👍

  • anyone try using the same account/email? I put in the promo code for another $50 and it said I still qualified (before finalising the order)

  • Just went to BP to buy the Amazon gift cards using the 10% Zip deal. They said they don't allow credit to buy gift cards for security purposes. They only accept savings or cash. Is it common practice? I've never had a problem buying gift cards at Woolworths on credit.

    • You shouldn't have told them your payment method. Should have tapped and paid and everything would have been fine.

      • +1

This guy made the point to ask us how we are paying for this. Said can't use credit since people can use the card then cancel the payment. When I questioned him if it's just a BP thing, he said it's everywhere.

Doesn't make sense to me at all. By that logic, I could buy buy petrol and 100 packet of chips from them on credit. What's stopping me from cancelling the payment afterwards?

Think the dude was just having a bad day.

        • Also went to BP to buy $600 worth of Amazon gift cards with Zip, no problem with paying for them but there was a different problem - the dude wasn't able to activate them for me, a glitch with their system or something. Gotta go back in a few days to get the manager to sort it out.

So yeah, the guy who served you was telling lies.

    • No

  • Some of my accounts were blocked from promo code at checkout .
I got around by adding another item with the gift card prior to checkout and code applied no problems

  • +1

Worked fine for me just now at 8:30pm.

  • I got the message saying Congratulations when at checkout, but I haven't yet got an email telling me $5 has been applied. Anyone else the same?

    Ordered about 10 mins ago.

    • Answers you're looking for are in the second sentence of the T&C's…

  • +2

Still haven't received my credit yet… Should i contact Amazon?

    • You may need to wait until Wednesday before the credit is applied to your account.

    • same here

      • Will wait with you guys…

        • +6

$5 credit most likely won't be in accounts until the boxing day promo is over, so anytime on the 29th. Also the only way to see this promotional credit will be at checkout. It won't be visible in your account. It will show up as a -$5 discount on a "eligible items shipped and sold by Amazon AU"

          Screenshot Will look like this

Just got a 'Benefit Confirmation for your Order' email, they should be rolling out now.

    • mine just come now too

  • Got mine today.

  • Still haven't gotten any e-mail :/

Did everyone purchase a digital gift card? I went with the physical one not sure if that makes a difference

  • Just received my credits too

  • Me too! Just got the email confirmation today at 12:11pm AEDT yayyy

  • Got the email confirmation but when I check my Gift Card balance page on Amazon, I don't see any $5 coming through. Is there where it's meant to show?

    • +2

It won’t be in the giftcard balance. You’ll have to add something shipped and sold by amazon to see it. It’s a promotional credit.

      • Gotcha, cheers mate.

  • +2

Can confirm the invisible credit came through. Bought something for $40 which was reduced by the $5 credit and then another $35 came off my voucher that i had linked to my account. Happy days.

  • No $5 credit received

  • I received the credit but wondered why it wasn't applying in checkout. Turns out it got sneakily applied to my next Subscribe & Save order. No problems with that though.

    • The credit only apply to product sold by Amazon not the others like fullfilled by Amazon or third party seller

      • Yeah I was aware, and the item I was looking at was sold by Amazon AU. My Subscribe & Save order was also sold by them and it got immediately applied to that.

  • i cannot see the $5 gift card anywhere within my account? but did receive the email confirmation from amazon saying it was successful though. Can i add it to my gift card balance? or do i have to wait for it to pop up next time i purchase something…?

    • +1

Add something into your cart sold by Amazon Australia and it will show as a promotional credit that gets applied
