    0 for electronic as always

  • +25

Still getting constant phone calls courtesy of these clowns….

    • +2

Is this why im getting so many amazing spam phone calls now??

      • Most likely. I get an SMS every now and then with some personal details and told to click on a link.

    • +3

Never a single spam phone call not sure what you're talking about?

      • Probably related to the shopback security breach a while back

  • +12

Up to 10% still lots of 0%

    What has actually changed?

  • +11

similar to up to 70% off / closing down sales at rug stores.

    • +6

Difference is a rug store doesn't leak your personal info to hackers :^)

      • -5

Did you actually expect privacy by giving your info to a tracking store that has a business model to sell your info?

Kind of like livestreaming your secret life 24/7 and being surprised that people are watching

        • Surely you missed an /s

          Funny if so

  • +2

Computers (Includes Desktops, Laptops, Computer Bags, Monitors, Accessories, Storage, Network) 0.00%

    Yeh, nah.

  • I bought a Bosch angle grinder earlier so should get 7.5% cashback going by the table.

  • +2

Was happy with cashrewards 12% sitewide earlier. This feels weak

  • +4

    Video games 0% , movies 0% , electronics 0%.

I roll my eyes turn around and walk away.

    • +16

Fix title. It's clickbait. We know how to do them properly by now, surely.

  • +4

Every second week or more often, Amazon/SB/CR increase to 10% the high margin items like apparel and jewellery, and Amazon own devices, but the categories most people want stay at 0. Most people don’t take these “up to 10% cash back” seriously anymore.

  • +20

Don't fall for this. They rejected my last claims in expensive items but got the items that were just worth a few dollars. Claim submitted but it was rejected with no reason.

    • +2

Exactly this for me too. No problems with small items, but reject large items even with click history.
Not to mention the constant spam calls after they were hacked!

    • +1

SB is great when it works (i.e. no human intervention required) - the minute it doesnt track and need to lodge a support ticket, forget it.

  • +20

Still waiting for shopback to fix the Black Friday tracking for my 4 items. Support has gone MIA after 3 weeks of back and forth

  • +11

Yeah, don't get fooled into Shopback. They have never provided cashback.

    • Is this true? I see so much about shopback in AU and ive been using cash rewards for so long without issue…. but the phone number i used for shopback seems to get weekly calls now… im not 100% sure, but im very curious. Im going to have to start checking lists for my number now.

      • +10

        Stick with cashrewards.

        • +5

Funny you mention that - my last two purchases with CR did not get tracked at all. And going through all hoops to get it tracked was a pain.

          • -3

@verio: I've had 100% cashback tracking on SB and CR. Hundreds of dollars and not one single issue.

Either these people have done something incorrectly or they are just giving negative spam.

            • +4

@[Deactivated]: I’ve also had hundreds of dollars from SB via small items. Until my Surface Book 3 which was a larger item and they rejected, even with click history. Then they rejected another one for larger $…
Then they got hacked and I’ve been getting spam calls ever since.
So no, I’m not doing something incorrectly or just giving negative spam…

      • +3

Never had an issue, over $350 back (as in withdrawn, confirmed in my bank account) in 2020. My data was part of the leak, never had a spam call.

    • Agreed, what a scam. Never got my cash back, couldn't lodge a tracking ticket. So fake.

    • +9

Looking at my hundreds of dollars withdrawn kinda scratching my head mate.

      • +1

I just couldn't be bothered getting the generic email for all the lacking tracking . Withdrawing thousands doesn't mean I'm not missing tracking .
Most people don't chase them .

  • +9

Rejected my black Friday Amaysim deal. Can't be trusted.

    • +1

Is this the $60? Someone direct messaged @gotyourback and got it tracked.

  • +7

As if Amazon category cashbacks wasn't enough, now they have started the same for Ebay as well :(

  • +4

    Amazon rarely goes through.

    • +2

      Mine did.

  • +8

I really hope retailers start moving away from supporting cashback schemes and just sell at reasonable prices. The hoops you have to jump through for this crap, just for a middleman to take a cut, is astounding.

    Pass.

    • +2

Its just the referral fee I believe?

  • +8

Don't usually neg. But the cashback hasn't gone through for my last 5 purchases (inc. a $1000 Lenovo Laptop).
No point posting this deal with all the issues of receiving cashback people are reporting recently.

Use Cashrewards. Use services that don't get hacked and allow your information to be provided to the worst people in existence.

    • +2

      "don't get hacked 'yet' " !
      ha.

everyone is prone to getting hacked.
that's the nature of the world now.

      it's what/how they deal with it before/after.

  • +1

Looks like the shareholders of cashrewards have spoken. Tend to agree though in terms of both confidentiality and tracking, you should have confidence in the system something Shopback has struggled with recently.

  • Title needs to be updated. Mostly 0% off, and some that are more.

  • +11

F#%k SB. All I gotta say

  • +1

Both companies are hit and miss to be honest. I found one would track certain websites than the other. Customer service has been equally good and bad

  • +6

Many purchases did not get tracked, some bug ones too. Support is terrible

  • +5

Poor cashback tracking. Just look at all the neg votes in recent postings

  • +7

My last 5 or so purchases have never tracked even thought they’re definitely clicked through properly and from the correct category with ad block turned off etc.

As many others have said, the hoops to go through and the hassle of chasing up untracked cashbacks that go unresolved and emails ignored is lessening the desire to use these services anymore.

    I’ll pass.

  • +1

Damn SB has taken a beating today 😂
    Savage.

    • and during many other recent deals posted. Many unhappy people. My purchases track sporadically.

      • I found success rate improves when using a device designed to track your every move (aka Android phone)

  • They (Inc Cashrewards) would decline large sum rewards. I bought $495 items when there was a 10% rebate but Cashrewards emailed me that it was rejected by seller after months even it was tracked successfully in the first place. Only use these for GC rewards nowadays

  • +4

Special cashback deals are hit and miss and no-one knows unless they watch out for it like 2-3 months later.

  • +1

Looks like another lottery of whether cashback takes place or not.

  • +1

Bought a $2000+ Dell laptop… cashback overview shows the click, but no cashback… followed all the rules. Very very very disappointing

  • +2

I've not had issues with small cashbacks, but all my larger ticket cashbacks have been denied, even their promos (I was super careful with the Dell $100 challenge, I've also done a whole transaction using their IOS app and had it denied).
I don't trust them for the larger cashbacks.

  • Again no change to their tech CB. This seems to be the standard CB overall. Not excited.

  • +1

SB rejected my cb for Amazon purchase. The seller posted my item and I received it with no problem, however my Amazon account didn’t show item delivered. That’s the reason of rejection.

  • it's a lucky dip with SB. Whether it tracks or not is the first challenge. After that, it's whether or not it will get denied or paid out. You have to check back often.

I hoped they would match CR's global 12% deal. They usually match and slightly beat anything CR does.
