the date on the price tag? isnt that the sale end date?

    • 24/01/21 zoomed in on the tub

  • This stuff is good, but Monjay Mezza is way ahead of this and other supermarket brands IMHO. Can be tricky to find though, more likely stocked at IGA.

Interesting none of the commercial hommus makers use lemon juice, it's nearly always citric acid instead. I'm sure traditionally lemons were easier to come by than industrial chemicals!

I prefer to make my own but when in a hurry the one in the OP is ok

      • And they usually overdo the citric acid. Lemons give you more subtle flavours so you can go easier on it. My modus operandi is to make a big batch and freeze it in small plastic containers. You get a good supply that way.

    • I'd die for a tub of Monjay mezza hummus

  • this hummus is full of preservatives, other hummus brands never last as long lol

Downing a kilo of hummus would be hard without a larger gathering or party so I'll take a few preservatives over mouldy condiments In a day or so

  • Tub of these and some crackers. New Years Eve snacks sorted!

  • this is good stuff , consume within 7 days of opening

    Didn’t know Japanese made hammous

  • This is my fave supermarket brand compared to Obela, Chris's and Aldi. Aldi is cheaper, but recently they must have changed suppliers as it's grainier than Yumi.

    • Same, my previous fav was Black Swan (hard to find these days), but the colsworth prefer to flog their garbage homebrands

Are they short dated? I guess I could eat a kilo in a day if I had to.
