TP-Link Deco X60 AX3000 (2 Pack) $378 + Shipping or Local Pick up @ Harvey Norman

100

Seem to be the same price as previous deal in Nov. Should be the cheapest price for now. Office works only have the 3 packs so can't price match this.

You can also claim the Tapo C200

3 pack also on sales but the saving is less.

I keep trying to decide between these and the M9.
Then do research, get confused and end up buying nothing.
    Coming from Asus RT-AC87U

    • Same here. Cant decide between m9 plus or these.

Well, it depends if you NEED Wifi 6 (ie. if you have any existing Wifi 6 devices or will plan to have some soon). That's the main difference between the M9 and X60 . If you want to go future proof then the X series is a better bet .

        But then from Reddit

"I'd say go with the M9's now, the triband setup should give you decent performance if you can't hard wire them with ethernet back haul. The extra money for the X60 isn't going to provide any real benefit until you have a lot of AX devices (probably in 2-3 years), secondly the X60 is a first generation AX device and vendors seem to be struggling to get any benefit out of some of the newer technologies. They probably need a year or two to sort everything out and improve there firmware and hardware.

Finally Wifi 6E is due out shortly, that allows additional channels in the 6Ghz frequency range which should provide significant benefits especially in more densely populated areas where there are alot of wifi networks. That will probably take a year or two to be fully sorted out and start becoming common with other countries adopting it. Once it does we are likely to start seeing Triband AX/Wifi 6E mesh networks with 2.4ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz frequencies, and the 6Ghz frequencies will support 160mhz bands which should provide a noticeable speed boost."

        • Great post ,stuck in same situation between m9 and x60,just want something that works with no dramas and decent performance for general family use

        • Reason why I am getting the x60 because of AX and WPA3 support, mainly because of FOMO, and the discount seem larger than other m9 deal so I feel the bargain is better.

I found that it is running less warm compare to the smaller m5/m9. And it does NOT support wall mount.

      • I purchased the ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 a few months back and couldn't be happier. The connection is rock solid and great range and speed. It really does cover the whole house. Even right to the end of the back yard.

        • What do you think about the 'aiMesh'? Good/bad?

          • +1

@humbala: Well so far I have only connected the two Zenwifi routers, but no problem so far. The connection like I said is really solid. No drop-out at all, even though the two routers are like 17 metres apart. Main router is upstairs and the other one is downstairs.

  • $333 for 2 pack @ TGG commercial.

  • Just bought the m9 2 pack ,not super impressed with being in 4/2 concrete wall house ,an improvement but maybe 3 pack would be way to go.

Any suggestions on a modem to replace telstra smart
    2 to compliment the m9 /x60 budget under $300 our speeds 100/30 currently,cheers

    • What features do you need? Compliment in what way?

If you have the Technicolor Telstra Smart Modem 2, it's actually a good device, becomes even better if you root it. This thread from Whirlpool should help you.

      • It's just weird our modem dropped out couple times funny enough after leaving telstra recently . having to reset a couple times ,not very technical here ,might be just coincidental, but less headaches the better and I was assuming ,they just supply you with generic average equipment
