But the ones I listed are infact uncapped/upgraded to 60 and were a night and day gaming experience.
Same when going from The last us/Uncharted trilogy from PS3>PS4.
Here's indeed hoping we see atleast a few more (Atleast Uncharted 4/TLoU2..) get boosted sometime soon.
Remember that the PS4 was about ~7 year old hardware at the end of its lifecycle though, so even the visuals and gameplay it was able to output for things like The Last of Us 2, Ghosts of Tsushima, Spiderman etc. were pretty impressive.
Would replace my jet turbine of a PS4 (that also isn't 4K compatible), upgrade the backlog of games I'm working through, and future proof me for future releases.

Whilst my PS4 sounds like an airplane in flight, I reckon it's still got a couple of years left in it…. And I'm not sure that the PS5 has proven itself to be a "must have" item at this point.
So I'm thinking that I'll wait until they release a ps5 slim/mini/pro in a couple of years.

Just had a store confirm that it was a stuff up from their Head Office, and that they don't have the stock.
They said you could try your luck, but don't get your hopes up because she could see that no store in Aus had stock, or incoming stock.
I was placing my order, while my wife was on the phone with the Tempe store

@[Deactivated]: It could also be the way their ordering system works. They may have stock nationally, but as there isn't anything sitting at local stores, their system shows 'BackOrdered', till such time as they receive it.
We'll know more in a few days, but it's hard to believe they stuffed up PS5, PS5 digital, and Xbox X pages all at once.

@[Deactivated]: I don;t know if it's the case here, but I can assure you that I know companies who pull stunts like that just so that they can grab your phone number and email address, so that they can belt you with marketing down the track.
If they grab 1000 details, and 90 percent of them unsubscribe, it's still more than they had yesterday.

Did anyone else also get a “Your order is being processed” email and the store is your local store? Got one shortly after ordering.
What time did you order yours? I ordered mine at 5:50 and still haven't got a "your order is being processed". Worried they might cancel my order.
Placed two orders since I filled in the wrong delivery details for the first order.
The second order was paid by PayPal and there is no confirmation email sent to me.

Ordered one and received a confirmation.
Nothing says it is a pre-order but it says:
‘If your product is currently not in stock, you will receive notification when it is ready for delivery or pick up.’
What is wrong with TGG it should have only been available to Concierge Member's .

Why is it that places like TGG invalidate the product page when they run out of stock?

Yeah seems like more effort than just disabling the "buy now" button. Do they always use the same link or is it a new link everytime?
Haven't paid much attention to the link, but have continually noticed pages disappearing after stock has; 'sold out'.
Ordered mine at 5:30pm, received an instant 'Confirmation of your order' email, and now just received an 'Your order is being processed' email (6:54pm). Not feeling too optimistic, but thought may as well try and order.
Finally got a processing email with a store listed but says backordered.
If they haven't even got last years stock in then they should just refund the cost minus $50 for pre-order and add to the list.
I would assume if they honour today's orders we would be getting a console in Feb/Mar.

I don't think the stores themselves know. The additional note below was added to my order in the past few minutes.
I never called or emailed them, so this must action the store is taking:

@xuqi: Can confirm the store doesn't know. Same with other retailers. I asked EB and a staff said they would get nice surprises once in a while when they come in for work where there would be 2-5 PS5s in-store.

Got the order confirmation at 5.52 pm and the order processing email at 7.14 pm (with a local store assigned). Did not see "backordered" anywhere. Fingers crossed.
If you created an account, you can sign in and have a look at your order. It will more than likely say backordered when you click on order details.
Is anyone in 2021 able to talk about new console frame rates without saying "buttery smooth"?
To say that PS5 can play some old games at smooth 60 FPS is really to say PS4 Pro wasn't quite up to the challenge. It's going to be a long while, approaching never, to see how many developers patch their games for the new consoles and unlock frame rates on more games. At the moment many (towards most) games are still framerate locked so the extra crunch doesn't do much.
