      We are ozbargainers, and we don't ever pay RRP. I am also cheap as F&$, but believe me you, this is a good price for the E310.

    My understanding is that the blade base accessories are only compatible with the ascent series and not this one.

      You seem to be correct.

      I don't even remember when I got my vitamix that I had never been keeping an eye on the prices for blenders. I hope this price still helps someone as it's on the usual sale price now. I also have the ascent 2300i which is a fantastic unit albeit at like 2x this price.

        My mom has one and she blends lots. Not sure which variant of Vitamix and has been telling me to get one. Thing is I dont blend much. I've checked this is currently the best price available on the market..Amazon don't even have stock and the one selling is from UK…for $596 and power plug issue.

    Great for smashing up ice cubes to make home made frozen drinks (use sodastream/sodaking flavours etc). Has been a lifesaver this summer with the kids. I have the Vitamix 5200 however. Still going strong after 7 years.

    I have this model, paid 399 also not so long ago from Amazon. They are likely to price match this if they haven’t already.

      These two are in different leagues.

      Blending abilities - Vitamix will blend more difficult ingredients with relative ease, and will create finer smoothies, nut butters, etc. in comparison. Vitamix has a tamper, which makes it a whole lot easier for you to work through difficult blend jobs.

      Build quality - Build components are going to be relatively high quality with the vitamix. For example, drive linkages are going to be all metal with the vitamix, but nutribullet is going to have to cheap out here as the price is cheap. This means a much longer life for the vitamix - I've known people who have used it for over 20 years. Ours is so old I can't remember how long it's been.

      Confidence resulting from quality - Top end models of vitamix comes with 10 years warranty, and even the lower end ones will offer 5 years warranty. I think nutribullet will offer 1 year?

      All said, nothing wrong with sticking with a nutribullet if it gets the job done for you.

      Buyers have been disappointed when moving from a nutribullet.
      This is because the vitamix needs more volume to blend/work properly and users recommend sticking to the jugs rather than the single cup/blade base accessories.

      If you blend single serve portions vitamix is not the way to go.

        Good point. But I do need to note some of the vitamix models (for example, the ascent series as you correctly noted earlier) are compatible with smaller jugs that need to be purchased separately and those ones will outdo the nutribullet in every way possible.

          Yeah I'm looking into the a2300i (cheapest online at Costco btw) because I am a one portion person.
          Reviews/users have said that the small shake size jugs do not perform well and they end up using the large jug.

          I still will bite the bullet with the 2300i as I do make cheese/nut sauces and my ninja sucks at that.

    Hmmm, I think I will be going with Froothie…..The Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) looks like a better product. Anyone have experience with it?

      I recently returned a G2.6 as I wasn’t happy with it. My biggest problem was the jug was too big. I’m only using it for one. That plus I couldn’t get almond butter to work no matter what I tried. Keen to try this vitamix as it comes with a smaller jug. One big plus with Froothie though is the 30 day money back guarantee which I took advantage of. It’s currently on the way back to them.
