Anyone else struggling to get through to the stage where you pay? Mine just hangs
I had issues at checkout using my desktop and Paypal as my payment method. I tried on my phone instead and ended up working.
Worked fine for me on phone too, but it took over 30 seconds after I hit the pay button to say it was purchased.
Just hangs for me on desktop, on mobile browser, and the app. I guess they just don't want me to buy it today.
I guess I should buy this now for when my 17th of September (2021 shipment) PS5 preorder comes through any day now. Any day now.

I wish I can trade my PS4 Pro in, but I can't find my original USB and HDMI cables anymore.
I doubt you need the original cables. I sold my PS4 Pro on Facebook and just bundled in a cable I knew would work with 4k, and I actually had to hunt for a cable that would sync the controller because the cable I had would charge it but wouldn't sync it when I reset the console in front of them. But EB must have a big box of cables or something.
I was told I will need original HDMI and USB cables at EB to trade it in.
@Speedz: How would they even know? Are the sony cables marked? Just I have sold a lot of the ps4, xbox, and switches and I haven't noticed anything. I know that some charging cables don't sync the controllers, but with HDMI this gen really doesn't do 4K well so it wouldn't matter.
Can someone add to this chat if they have recently traded in at eb games, work there, or know any additional information.

@Speedz: haha, yeah don't worry this is the usual internet interaction where I go off at you for stating what you heard. I just want to know myself since I want to trade mine in soon, as Facebook marketplace isn't worth my time when it come to technology items. People always asking the condition of the console, I told one guy that I swing the ps4 by the power cord when not in use.
@sprucemoose92: OK I actually happened to walk pass a EB store and asked.
The EB employee said if you missing HDMI and USB cables they will deduct $5 each, they will do the usual testing on making sure the console works and wipe all the data off it.
However they said they will no longer be taking pre-orders.
Just ran out. Good timing.
Crossing my fingers and toes that EB or JB price match this, so we can use discounted gift cards.

If you're buying it through the store, it's instant. The only way to be able to wait would be to buy a code from a retailer (eg EB, JB, etc) then you can wait to redeem that code until you're ready. But looking at the conditions of this deal in terms of not having a current subscription, I doubt EB / JB will have this offer.

I was able to add to cart, as was two of my other fiends.Not sure what qualifies you to be able to add it sadly
@kash0: Personally I get them in store so doesn't matter if you have a current subscription or not. Not sure if they are still $59.95 though, seems EB and JB aren't anymore. I've had success using digital gift cards in JB for them too and I think I did in EB too.
Not so fast. This looks to be a new deal without any terms re: inactive subs.
Only for non members which is why I can't add to cart. Says so on the subscription page near the bottom.
As I said I am a member and was able to add it and pay. Have 27 months left now. (Was 15 months prior to adding it)

Ok so I think I have cracked it
If you last added months via the PlayStation store it may prevent you from adding the 12 months
If you added months last time via game cards (JB, EB, Amazon etc) it appears it may let you add it to your cart
Does seem to be hit and miss but it’s not limited to inactive subs
Good guess, but no mine was a 12 month purchased from EB Games and is set not to auto renew.

I have 6 months left on my current sub, which was a code and not a re-occurring sub.
I do note that this is a DIFFERENT deal, as I can see both.

For me this deal has different wording and expires on the 20th, and has no mention of new subscribers only, but says "OWNED" when I click. But I note when you visit the terms its the same.

It's mentioned in there that you must be inactive to qualify. Sony didn't bother to put this in the terms on the deal page.
I have active sub which I paid full $80 to make sure I got PS Plus Collection rather than waiting for the $60 sale price, I cannot add this to it, $80 only.
Was hoping I could get this and bring my spend down to $70/pa because I felt bad paying the extra $20 for a service that isn't worth more than $5 pm.
That's a bit harsh, it's like less than 2 take away coffees a month. I don't play multi-player and just use plus for the free games. I have been very happy with the value and have had plenty of games to play and try. Even in the odd month where the titles were on no interest, still had plenty of titles left to play.
The Plus Collection was absolutely amazing value and was able to re-play some old titles I had owned but sold years ago.
We had Just Cause 4 in December that was enjoyable. In Jan we have Man Eater which I enjoyed a bit too much, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Greed Fall.
If they have games on Plus which I already own, that's normally a trigger for me to flog them on Facebook Marketplace if I still have them lying around.
I have started using the "PS App" on ios, it's easy to add titles to the download queue and notifies on the phone when they are ready to play.
Possibly Sony have beefed up their servers or it could be the PS5 but the downloads seem a lot quicker.
Does anyone know if these plans can be paused?
