Same as the Eko in Big W I think (not the frameless, the other one).

Blaupunkt TV's are made in China now (used to be Germany)

The brand is owned by a investment firm
they "license" the brand to Chinese manufactures so they can sell them under the "known brand"

The same company who distributes BP tv's in Australia sells SEIKI Tv's
SEIKI tv's were sold in Target stores until they got out of them
This brand is now sold through Amazon (manufacture sales)
they have also startrd rebranding their Seiki kitchen goods and home wares with the BP name

These TV's are rebadged Seiki Models

I get annoyed cause BP was such a great brand back in the day and its been completely butchered now :(

    • Thanks Jimbobaus for the insight.

Should I conclude that I’d better queue up to get the 58” from Aldi in 10 days then?

I think they do the tvs for aldi as well. At least they have. The Bhaun and EKO were the same tv.

  • Is this QLED?

be careful these have a terrible battery life

    • +2

Well they are really designed for mains voltage…

  • "not sure about the quality either"
It is now a brand for no name products.

I cant see any reason to get this over the Eko 65in androids that come up here often. They seem to be from the same supplied just badged under a few different brands.

Eko is bigger and has a better panel.

And in my experience, a nicer customer service in store if you just change your mind.

        Jb can be real jerks.

    • I picked up a 65 Eko in the Big W sales in November for $570 I can't complain its been a great 2nd TV so far

  • Not sure I would even give this a second look at this price. Damned if you paid full $$$

  • 65 inch for $3 more at officeworks.
