Cex is paying $1050 for a PS5, all you have to do is taking it to them, wait for around 30 mins so they can test it, and receive your money cash or bank transfer, no "lowballers", timewasters or the hassle with people over FB/Gumtree.Damn I hardly play my PS5. It's RRP for both the console and controller. The reason for this post is the availability of it. You can actually get one of you're fast enough.
Technically $1 extra than RRP. Considering controllers are constantly available for about $100 wouldn't call this a deal at all but more a notification they have stock.

Stupidest time to put stock live on their website. Wouldn’t have been able to get one anyway since for some reason my ozb search alert noti came 2 hours late.
How do you set a notification? Ive tried to do it in the past but couldnt work it out.
You have to search up the product “PlayStation 5” on ozbargain website, and then click/ press the “create search alert” button. It should then send you an email to the address you used to create an ozb account, and only emails for when a ps5 related product is posted on the site. For some reasons emails can sometimes be delayed so still manually check instead of completely relying on emails.
Ozbargain alerts aren’t instant.
@ATangk: No I mean that they email was sent at 6pm for example, and then it only came as a notification and I could see the email at like 8pm. A stupid error with the mail app, not ozbargain.
I think with the JB Pre-orders last week (collection tomorrow), the TGG email yesterday, and this - there's a small stock drop today/tomorrow across multiple retailers, so maybe Target and Harvey Norman will have deals today or tomorrow too.

Never said it wasn't smart. People are clearly desperate enough for a PS5 that they'll fork out extra for a controller at RRP if they have to. I'm saying they should have the choice NOT to buy an extra controller at RRP if they want the console.

Let me get this right. The PS5 console has been going for $749. And this with the extra controller is $859. You were actually paying $110 for this extra Dualsense controller.
This was all at full RRP.
I know its hard to understand the market going for 1.1 K on that deal hence its a bargain .

This is the retail market. So you can't compare scalper market prices to the retail market price which is what took place from The Gamesmen here.
You just can not compare scalper market prices to the current retail market price and then call the $749 retail market place as a bargain. Full RRP is never a bargain.

Something can not be a bargain at 99% discount off the RRP. Likewise, something can be $100 over the RRP and be a solid bargain. Just as how an RRP can be much more inflated than the market is willing to pay, an RRP can also be much lower than the market is willing to pay.
I really hope ozbargainers are smart enough to know that referencing RRP isn't a good indicator of whether something is a bargain or not.
Please I beg of you to find me a source where the PS5 can be purchased at RRP. "Wait 6 months look at the RRP!" is not a valid answer.

Was late with the website availability, but decided to give them a call anyway. Around 10am was informed they had a few spare units not included in the website deal at the store, waiting for eager fast buyers. Got in the car, drove over and bought one of the last few they had, 1 hour after opening the store for the day. Lucky me I guess ;)
About the early website update with the deal - apparently it was a request from Sony, to put the deal up @ 6am on the 20th. Dunno how much truth is in that, but still, worth noting.

Someone explain to me why my EB Games preorder from day 1 in September is still waiting, but Gamesmen have consoles to sell today?

Because The Gamesmen actually had it in stock. And i guess The Gamesmen is really efficient at dispatching orders to customer.
I just called the EB where my preorder is and they said head office says they have a shipment arrived and will send them out to stores, then stores will call people who have preorders to come pick them up. So I suppose that might mean the shipment the store receives might not be enough to complete all the preorders. He said over this week but who knows. Sounds like the digital version is going to be more in stock than the normal one.
Lmao I ordered late and got it from Amazon and JB and I think i've gotten it before everyone who ordered from EB day 1. Probaby because everyone buys from EB only.
I just assumed because EB has been a Sony retail partner since day 1 that they might know what they are doing and Sony would help them fulfill preorders. And all I want to play is Bugsnax and my old PS4 games anyway :(
