  • mate, i don't know where do u live, but i just bought 5kg cheries in flemington market - sydney nsw for $10 only,

    • Just bought cherries for $8.94/kg at Woolies. I never saw cherry over $15 at my local woolies or coles anyway (or my ozbargainer brain skips it when it jumps up that high?) Also I wouldn't buy cherries in a box as last time I bought one box which most are tasteless or off.

    • $7.98/kg for cherries locally here.

    • I had a look and these they are gift box cherry's which people give as a gift. But I agree they are expensive if you buy them yourself and eat them.

Also this is another catalogue of "Christmas" special which is apart from their weekly catalogue

  • Dorito chips 3 for $5 are already on special today in Qld? Is this just a re-hash of the current catalogue?

    • -1

      they re-hash the catlogue every 3 - 4 weeks

  • is that market on every corner?€ cause then i would go buy them

  • dips, chips and V drink were already on special today @ Coles Reservoir VIC

not sure of the other items

  • the best thing to do is just have a look @ it yourself and see if anything appeals to you. But yes there are specials in this on that were in the last which i think is pretty pathetic!

    • -4

If you even agree it's pathetic why post it? :/

  • I saw cherries yesterday in Coles for around $9/Kg (and Woolies was a bit less). Looks like they go up tomorrow.

  • nvm..

  • THe chips and energy drinks are already on special, the rest is meh.

  • looking at the catalog - it has WA grown products - i referred back to the front page and at the very bottom this is a WA Metro catalog - perhaps there will be pricing differences for cherries when the other state catalogs are viewable

  • go to the coles.com.au and as long as your postcode is listed you will see the catalog for your area - - the link in ozbargain took me direct to the WA version.

  • The last catalogue was supposed to run from Dec 14-25.

  • These are not bargains IMO (woolies/coles ad) just saying

  • Worst catalogue of the year.
Would expect more at Christmas time.

    • actually - I wouldn't. After the $10 and $15 off special for big shops this weekend, people have now missed their last chance for a true bargain. If people haven't already purchased things in advance, bad luck (is what Coles/Woolworths would be thinking. And for fresh food (eg fish/meat/veggies) we HAVE to buy it closer to the day, so they have us stuck over a barrel.

PS - Petrol will go more expensive for Christmas/Boxing Day, in case that surprises you !

It's what happens when 2 companies control 90% of the market.

        • agreed

        • If Tesco controlled 25%, Aldi 25%, Walmart 25%, and Woolies+Coles combined only had 25% of the market, then you would complain about foreign companies dominating our market.

Be happy that Coles and Woolworths are Australian and the profits stay in Australia.

I hope they have some late specials from thur! Remember doorbuster specials?

I just wanted to add my two cents as you can see the specials end on the 25th….Because of this Coles (not sure about wollies) has demanded my partner and most other point of sale staff work overnight christmas night to have the sale items ready for boxing day…

we are personally very annoyed at this as you can imagine.. Its something no ones except the people who work for the company know. …..just wanted to see what other people thought?

    • +2

That's disgusting. It's just marginally ok to get staff to work at that time IF they're happy to do it, and there would be those that would, but it's plain wrong to demand that anyone work at Christmas.
