    • Is 34" still decent at 1440? I figured that would be 4k territory

      • +1

It's pretty good. The only problem is that the only model with ips panel isn't in Australia yet. So you're gonna be on VA, like the sd3220dgf.

        • Which model is that with the IPS panel and what is the pricing on it?

          • @Ice009: Pg329q. My prediction is 1k aud when it finally comes.

Granted, if you don't mind not having high refresh rate, that's a few choice in the 400-500 range.

            • @Wonderfool: One of the main things I've wanted in something like 144Hz refresh rate.

            • @Wonderfool: Is there anything decent in the 32" inch range right now at 1440p? I was looking at this LG https://www.pccasegear.com/products/46742/lg-32gk650f-b-qhd-…

How would it compare to the S2721DGF? I am assuming it's quite a way off?

Is there anything else worth looking at in the 32" range (1440p & 144Hz refresh rate) whether it is VA or IPS that is closer to the Dell in performance? Price wise, I'd be looking at $550-$800 range.

The main reason I'm not sure about getting the Dell S2721DGF is the size. I don't know if I'd like going from 24" screens (1920x1200 resolution 16:10) to a 27" sized Monitor. Maybe 27" will be fine, but I just keep thinking it's not a big enough upgrade size wise. I also want to watch stuff on it, so that is why I was thinking 32" would be a lot better. What do you think in regard to the size?

              • @Ice009: Personally, if I'm being a VA, I'll get the curved monitor, like the s3220dgf is going to be nicer, since side of the VA panels can be a bit dark at times. The fun part about 32" is that you are that close to the screen, making it a more immersive, theatre like experience. The s3220dgf often goes for 600 bucks around here.

As for 27" vs 32", i think 27" is already sufficient. It's also a bit more comfortable when looking at spread sheets. That being said, a 32" really do have alot more umph in any non work related matters lol. If I only get to pick one, I personally will go for 32.

                • @Wonderfool: Thanks. I will take a closer look at the S3220DGF. Is the S2721DGF a much better screen performance wise? I've never used any high end monitor before, so was just curious. For example, if I had them side by side, would I notice much dfference?

I've also never used a curved monitor before, so I'm always wondering if I should try one or stick with a flat screen no matter the size? If going curved, what curvature (not sure if this is the correct term) is best? And how are curved monitors for web browsing, productivity etc. for those of you that have had experience with both?

                  • @Ice009: The most important thing here is how important is productivity is to you. If it's super important, get a flat screen instead, or get a second screen and put it on portrait. It's fine to do it in a curved screen, but sometimes spreadsheets are a bit weird on the right side.

As for performance wise, I'm not sure if you can tell the difference between the two monitors. What I do know is that whether it matters or not in real uses, depends on your eyes, play style, and games. For example, I can play everything just fine and consider most things like basically the same. But then, I pop in doom 2016, and thanks to all the weird tentacle rounder creatures, and my twitch shooter habits, I can't play for more than an hour on my older AOC monitor, despite it being a 144hz. Jump into the s2721dfg and I it felt so much more comfortable.

  • Thanks to this forum, I now look forward for a 4K, 144hz monitor soon :-)

Something like LG 27GN950-B but probably larger.

    • Asus PG32UQ
      Viewsonic XG320U
      Acer XB323QK-NV

All are supposed to be released this year… 32" 4k144 IPS panels all of them.

      • What would we be looking at pricing wise for most of these?

        • USD1200 or so for these models (edge-lit).

          USD3k+ for the mini-LED variants with "proper" HDR (PG32UQX, XG321UG, X32)

  • Can anyone give me recommendations of other Monitors to get in the $400-$550 price range. I'm sick of trying to get this Monitor. I came on today thinking there would be a deal for Australia day, but as usual, I somehow miss out and the deal was yesterday. I've been trying to get this thing for about 4 months, and I think that is it for me. Not going keep wasting time trying. I'm still on a 24" 60Hz Monitor that I want to upgrade from.

I don't even care at this point if the Monitor I get is a VA panel. I just want something between 27" and 32" in the $450-$550 price range. I might even wait and go for one of those 32" 4K 144Hz screens if the prices aren't too bad. I assume you can run 1440p on them if you don't currently have the horsepower to run 4K? I've been trying to get a 3080, but probably won't get one until middle of the year (if they ever have stock at decent prices - not willing to pay the current prices. Having said that, do you guys think the prices will ever get lower?).

    • Considered the Xiaomi 34" ultrawide that gets posted quite often?

      • No, because I don't think I'd be able to return it if there is an issue with it. I assume since it's not locally serviced, and the buyer would have to pay for return postage to the place of purchase and I wouldn't be able to afford that.

    • +1

I just ordered it, it seems to be back in stock, even though it says here 'out of stock'.

  • Back in stock.

Also confirming that you can use ur gift cards from e.g. Redeem Your Gift Card to get an extra 3.5% off.
Combing that with the ebay plus discount (PLUSDELL), I ended up paying $470.

  • Thanks got one.

  • got 2 for the 3080 techfast build.. should hopefully come around the same time, delivery time Mon, 01 Mar - Thu, 11 Mar

  • ol' mate is back in stock.

  • Dell is quite generous with their complimentary gaming mouse. They sent out Alienware gaming mouse to my surprise. I'm impressed!

    • Why did they send you one? How would I get one?

      • +1

your delivery need to be late by approx. 2 months.

    • do you received the complimentary gaming mouse for this deal or previous deal?

      • Yes from BFS deal.

  • Back in stock. Ordered one. Worth re-posting the deal?

  • Thank you OP, Can't wait until my monitor arrives!

  • I just got a startrack tracking number for an order on this deal… Doesn't that mean the monitor is in Australia now?

    • Got my notification as well with a status saying Posted and a tracking number. Happy days!

    • Got tracking number too, and ETA tomorrow… Ordered last monday, that's quick. See what happens tomorrow LOL.

      • ETA tomorrow, but item still being processed. Can't see it arriving tomorrow even if it's in Australia now.

        • Mine is also ETA tomorrow in Victoria. Judging by previous StarTrack deliveries. It should be in my hands by tomorrow.

          • @Wilson Wallace: Mine arrived in Sydney last night. Needs to get to Brisbane today.

  • Got one, back in stock. Expected delivery early March.

    • Were you able to add the coupon code to your order at check out? It's not allowing me to add the code…

  • +1

    Mine got delivered yesterday wtf.

    • When did you purchase ?

      • 25th Jan.

  • Mine was delivered today as well after ordering on the 25th. Really happy with the delivery time although it was left at my front door without being double boxed so that could have been a present for porch pirates

  • Delivered today 👌

    • When did you purchase ?

  • Ordered on the 29th Jan, received today. ETA from StarTrack was for today, but Dell's page says 5th of March

  • Delivered today, noon.

  • Ordered on the 29th but I haven't even received the tracking # yet.

  • Mine tried to be delivered yesterday. I wasn't home. So they took it to Darra, about 10 suburbs south, for pick-up rather than my local post office.

    • I had the same issue, I called them up to organise a redelivery - it's also on the other side of town for me.

      • I got knocked back asking them to bring it to my local, had to be a redelivery.

  • Surprising fast delivery was expected to be mid to late Feb but got it today.
You will notice if Dell sends you the tax invoice via email, it means that your monitor is coming in the following date or 2.

  • Ordered mine on the 25th Jan, arrived today - original ETA was Mid Feb to Early March. Thanks OP!

  • Sad to have missed this deal :( I hope there will be one soon.
