Bottom part of watch has a 'chin' to house sensors and stuff. So the screen is not a perfect circle.

Wish Xiaomi would bring out an LTE watch. In the meantime, any recommendations for an LTE watch other than Samsung or Apple?
Just FYI this is 3 versions old now (Stratos 2/2S and 3 are out) Xiaomi loves to dump their old hardware as the software updates dry up completely.
Not just that but they changed the software company a year or two ago and it completely broke the location and GPS tracking for a lot of the Stratos and GTR/GTS watches.
GPS works fine on mine. When they switched to the new Zepp App (formerly Amazfit) the GPS was shoddy for a bit, subsequently fixed with a firmware update. My GTR still gets regular updates most recent being last week.
I completely dumped mine once my Garmin showed how bad the GPS trails were tracking on the GTS.
Since 2018 I regularly use my stratos for my runs and cycling and it is still working and reliable. The gps is still accurate even after they switch to the new zepp app. The only time the gps wont be accurate and all over the place if its A-GPS is not updated (Which you update by syncing it to the amazfit/zepp app) and I still went ahead with my exercise.
