I've just received another email from Shopback rubbing my nose in how I purchased from Liquorland only to get the cashback and then not getting any.

Like somebody said before, don't buy assuming you'll get cashback with Shopback. It's going to be a bonus, if it happens.

It's going to be a pain in the neck, if it doesn't and you care.

I haven't had issues with cashback (frankly I have barely used it), but I do use CR a lot. I had an issue with Liquorland too (the recent 25% cashback capped at $25 iirc).

I emailed support with my claim. It was a bit slow to get a response (just over a week) and needed a bit of tick-tacking (invoice date from Liqourland was after the promo, but payment was made during promo so they needed to then verify with Liqourland), but it did get resolved.

Not sure why it didn't track in the first place, but at least it came through.

I don't know what my point is exactly, but I guess I thought it was another contextual reference point…

CR is better than shopback in my experience

        • ShopBack is better than Cashrewards in my experience.

@HomeAlone: CR is much much better:)

            • @davidtay: Ok, I decided to use both, one is better than another, so win win

              • @Mregmi: I use both. But interestingly my all time earning in ShopBack is significantly higher

      Agreed.
Before offers like 20% cb on grog would easily sway me for an impulse buy now only do it if I needed it and price is decent without cb.

If I get it great. If not I’m not so fussed (still think, bloody dodgy ShopBack)

My Uniqlo offer is still ‘under investigation’ from Boxing Day but not holding my breath.

      • I've purchased Uniqlo offers from them using both the app and the desktop extension, being very careful not to open any tabs or trigger other extensions - both got rejected. Strongly advise not to use Shopback for Uniqlo offers.

      Have issues with both

      Agree.

Exactly same situation here. They just rejected mine saying it did not get tracked. I will prefer CR as TA here is very helpful.

    • In general, I've had no issue with either cashback service…..thus far I've received almost $1000 with CR and 700 with SB.

I did once have an issue with LiqourLand not tracking (I don't recall who it was with) but I simply called them (LL) up and cancelled the order over the phone.

    Damn, no PS5 in stock

    • Does video games consoles work with this cashback. Coz it’s for electronics only and not for video games ?

I had an issue with Liquorland with CB & CR still remains unresolved, not trusting anymore Liquorland rewards!!

  • That's annoying, there were some really good deals for Staub dutch ovens that I'd been watching but they're all now showing unavailable. I was hoping to get an even better discount on the 28cm Cocotte they had for $300 (Currently $500 down from $800 at Myer).

    • I had my on a few kitchen items and now that I'm going through the listings it looks like all the popular items have been either pricejacked or are out of stock.

EDIT: That's an odd downvote, if you don't believe me throw anything from the OXO Good Grips range into camelcamelcamel.

  • Literally bought last night. My $3!

    • Same, but I cancelled my order and repurchased again with Shopback this morning :)

  • Cool but.. Everything I wanted that might have been electronics comes under computers or video games (even when not actually a video game)

  • Only today?

  • I have issue with ShopBack. A $35 cashback was only tracked for $3.5.
I thought this was an easy case to resolve as at least the transaction was tracked. But I'm wrong. It's been more than 2 weeks and they still can't get this sorted.
    Very disappointed.

    • Hey davidtay, PM me your email address and I'll check on your case for you.

      • Thanks gotyourback! PMed. Hope the issue can be resolved.
        I'll update later. Thanks again!

      • Thanks gotyourback, the wrong amount has been fixed!

  • I noticed the HOME Category is now reduced to 0%?? bugger! was looking at something yesterday and I'm sure it was around 4-6% for Home on both CB platforms :(

ShopBack Are timewasters they are ignoring me since October I email them every time I see a deal with them on here to update

    • Hey zilver, PM me your email address and I'll check on your case for you.

  • phew almost lost my crap, ordered $1700 worth of external hard drives on Friday, but they dont count as Electronics :) , crises averted.

  • Where do you find your own Amazon referral code do you can add it to OzB?

  • Kitchen & Dining is 6%, but has been tracked for $0, what a joke Shopback

    • I think it will update, ineligible categories the tracking would be 'calculating' instead.

  • +1

My experience has been that CR tracking is more reliable / robust and they do provide good service (at least thanks to TA) when issues encountered. No point in cashback if you can't have confidence that you actually get what is promised.

The only times I've seen issues are where I've actually stuffed up without realising (e.g. Amazon Home vs Home Improvement categories) or the vendor has wholesale tracking issues.

Dont bother with shopback theyll just say the transaction is ineligible
