    Doubt it, I think it's more that Qantas is a rough cash position and if people are to purchase flights which they don't have to fulfil until later on in the year, then that increases their working capital. Basically a way of raising some cheap debt.

        Never sell! haha. But seriously, Virgin Blue started in a similar situation and was highly profitable for years until they went all fancy pancy. And REX is reportedly paying half the aircraft lease cost that Virgin Australia was recently paying for the same jets.

  $110 on Qantas' website, so have to go with the online agents, but I've always found Qantas' own service to be better when I have issues YMMV.

    Or when you need refunds. Nothing against BTF, but after the unfortunate difficulties of travel agent refunds in the early days of covid, vs the realitive ease of direct bookings, I'm not sure I'll take a small saving again in the future.

      Valid, but worth noting that we don't sell the tickets, we just search for the best deals. Can't speak for the service of all the OTAs we link to, but I've had to cancel/change myself with some of them without major issues. But yes, it can be easier to deal with the airline.
