    No free pick up ?

  • +1

How will this work with people in WA and QLD (and somewhat SA)?

Unless they've broken down the 5000 allocation by state, they'll be completely sold out in Syd/Melb since the stores open earlier than everywhere else

    • +5

Hopefully they will clarify closer to the date - the link in the email says "Delivery and Pickup available from participating Pizza Hut locations in the United States and Canada. Fees apply. Price and products may vary by location. Terms and restrictions apply." at the bottom so they may have not thought this through (lol)

      • +11

They're gonna be pretty cold pizzas if they get delivered from Canada or The US

  • +5

Crappy Pizza's I got sick and had diarrhea - Ordered from the Paramatta store.
The meat they put if little and atrocious.

    • +6

Got great pizza at the Castle Hill store when they were free a while back.
      Just depends on the location.

      • +1

Mount Druitt store is also delicious

        • +2

Mt Druitt is hit and miss in my experience

          • +8

@Kunny: There's a joke here but I'm staying as far away from it as I would Mt Druitt

          • @Kunny: Shots fired.

            • @Munki: And the shots hit the toilet bowl. Hard.

              • +1

                @bdl: Green apple spatter. Lol

  • +2

    Pizza Hut still exist?

    • +9

      not many, but yes,
I notice they exist only when they giving out free pizzas

    • +1

      Not many left in Melbourne

Kinda funny seeing the Hut shaped buildings used for other stuff. One near me is a gym which seems ironic.

  • Can any1 confirm if it's free delivery?

    • +5

I can confirm it's not the 9th of February today.

      • Nice one Einstein.

  • So not in Queensland yet?

    • Valid nationwide at participating Pizza Hut restaurants.

      • But what time does it start

  • +1

After a bit of back and forth on live chat, it appears this is the free pizza. So just pay $2.99 to $4.99 delivery and get a free $18 pizza. Apparently, in all areas, there is a pizza hut and DoorDash delivers which is every main city apparently. I've used it in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth a lot. Cheaper usually than Uber or Menulog. As good/bad service as the others.

  • So does this start when your local Pizza Hut opens?

  • +1

World Pizza Day certainly beats Nutella Day from 2 or 3 days ago.

  • +1

Pizza lovers who prefer their pie a little different — perhaps something woodfired or Italian-style — will also be able to take advantage of up to 25 per cent off (maximum $10 off) all other DoorDash pizza merchants with the checkout code WORLDPIZZADAY, redeemable at over 1500 restaurants.

  • local store opens at 4pm :/

  • It is now open to order. There is minimum spend of $0.50. I had to add a dip for $0.95 and $0.38 fees.
    $1.33 pizza delivered.

As long as local store is open to take orders. Order wasn't accepted.

Mine doesn't open for more than 8.5hrs. With only 5000 free pizzas, I think I'll make other plans for lunch.

      • -1

Money has already been dedected from my account. Can the restaurant refuse to accept the order ?

      • +2

My store was closed and I just ordered it for tomorrow at 6:30. It didn't work on the app but worked on a desktop browser.

        • I just ordered for 1 PM delivery and all went through. I got charged delivery, but not bad for a free pizza :)

        • Thanks for that - ordered for tonight. Charged 36c👍

          • @INFIDEL: how?? Doesn't allow anything for less than $3.80 to add to pizza. Any ideas?

            • @go2force: Was first order.
Just added pizza - got free delivery. Only charged the 36c service fee.

              • @INFIDEL: says, need to order minimum $15. The pizza itself is $14.25.

        • 6:30 AM or PM?

          • @bdl: PM, said my store didn't open until 11:30am or something.

    • Did you get the free delivery because you have dashpass?

      • Got free delivery here as a new customer promo.

  • 5,000? moot point

  • I don't see Veggie Sensation on the menu. Hope they add it when they open in a couple hours.

    • It is there, I ordered now

    • You can search the menu "Veggie" it should appear. For me, it appears when I search.

    • Got mine, added chicken :-D

  • +1

I am able to schedule an order for later using a desktop browser for my store that's still closed in the app. I'm not using the promo because the delivery fee is $5 but leaving this tip here if someone else wants to try

    • Thanks mate, scheduled the order. Let's see what happens in the afternoon.

  • Delivery fee was $4.99 for me. Added stuffed crust as extra.

Don't forget to sign up using the referral link if you are a new customer!

  • I was also able to place an order at noon on the desktop browser.
    Delivery charge is only $1.
    Good deal, thanks OP!

    • +1

Do you live next to the store? :)

      • Nope, I wish :)

  • Mine still showing full price?

    • +1

discount will be shown at checkout

    • +1

Should discount it during the checkout process. Only works for meatlovers and veggie.

      • i see it now, thanks so much both of you

  • I was able to schedule for lunch at my local closed store via the App.

Near the last step of checkout it offered schedule as an option.

  • Damn pizza hut doesn't show in my app.

    • Pizza doesn't show on my app - No pizza from anyone!
Then online it says no Pizza Hut near me for delivery… I'm 1 minute from Welland Pizza Hut which delivers!

    • same for me

  • Ordered for delivery later today a Veggie Sensation for $0.54 including delivery. Thanks OP.

  • At Melb CBD, can't order now or schedule for lunch time, only allow me to schedule for 13 Feb at midnight 1am to 2am??

  • +1

Live chat just sent this via email which is the T&C for today and seems cool

T&Cs: 5000 Free Pizzas. Offer valid only on 09/02/2021 during store opening times or until sold out. Free pizza options are only for BBQ Meatlovers or Veggie Sensation. Valid nationwide at participating Pizza Hut restaurants on DoorDash. Limited to 3350 in AEDT, 100 in ACST, 550 in AWST, 1000 in AEST. No promo code needed at checkout to redeem. No minimum order required. No small order fee applied. Delivery fees apply. Service fees may apply.

Seems delivery does apply and also other fees.

    • +1

Good to see they've allocated offers to smaller population States in different time zones. Otherwise NSW & Vic on earlier time zone & larger populations could swallow up all of the 5000.

      • +1

Yeah I thought the same. Last Uber one that's exactly what happened to me, I was in Perth and missed out. First time I've seen any delivery place do this and be fair

        • Thanks for asking on Chat. Appreciated here in the North.
Maybe they have learnt from previous stuff up.

Delivered free - possibly because my first order. Just charged 36c fee.

  • Worked, got free delivery as a new customer. Thanks OP!

  • Ordered mine for 12:30, lunch sorted

  • +2

Stuff doordash. Uninstalled the app after every single coupon and promotion failed to actually work. I have literally never gotten any to work and i've tried a fair few times. Absolute waste of time.

  • Pizza Hut doesn't deliver to your address currently.
I'm 1 minute from Welland Pizza Hut!

    • How do you even find a Pizza Hut in SA on DoorDash?

  • whats better the bbq meat lovers or the veggie sensation?

    • As a vegetarian, I'd have to say bbq meat lovers.

  • pick up not available?

  • Mine is saying "we cannot accept your order because the store is closed at the selected time" even though it is open at that time.

    • +1

Schedule order it. Its working. I did it for 2pm.

      • Yeah I did haha, gave me that error. But instead now I just selected the ASAP option, I guess I'll just put it in the fridge for later haha.

        • Not working in the app. I did it from website.

    • +1

I found the opposite to RoadZilla…I tried to schedule for various times and it wouldn't work. I then went for ASAP and it worked

      • Exactly, same for me.

        • I think depends on the local pizza hut. My one opens like a King at 1pm. LOL

  • $5.35 delivery fees for free $17 Veggie Sensation pizza. Hmmp!. Ordered.

  • -1

Cant even join DoorDash because it wont send me verification SMS.

  • Grabbed one for $5.35. OP thanks.

  • I ordered thanks. Free pizza, free delivery. What a deal!

    • Free delivery? Is your account new?

      • Yes

  • I ordered online with a referral link and got delivery included for free.

    • Same here

    • +1

Think first order has free delivery anyway

  • -1

Can we order more than one.
Order one for $0 includes delivery.
Thinking of ordering again but it does come up with $4.99 delivery fee so just wondering if I can order multiple without my orders being cancelled

    • I just ordered two and worked without any issues

      • That's greedy. Should've just ordered one so others could get one. I could've got a 2nd also but I'm not greedy

        • LOL but I didn’t violate any terms and conditions? No where did they say 1 per account. If they implemented such measures (which can be done easily), then everyone would’ve gotten 1 only

  • ordered from Blacktowns store and the driver txt me and said they don't do Doordash today ! wtf ? lost $3.90 still hungry

  • My store is showing "Unavailable. Temporarily closed" after being fine a moment ago

    • Same

    • +1

probably means too manny orders and they can’t handle it so need to pause

  • +2

The quality of Pizza Hut's pizza has gone downhill massively over the last decade. They have lost so much ground to Dominos I am surprised they haven't gone out of business in Australia. No wonder they are giving it away for free in desperate attempt to stay in business. Their execs should be ashmed of themselves. They used to be the best pizza place in town.

    • +1

It really depends on the store. My local Pizza Hut is so much better (more toppings and overall tastier) than my local dominos
