Oppo AX5s Smartphone Red $100, Black $149 (Was $229) (Locked to Optus) Instore @ Kmart

130

Hello (first time poster here),

I was recently at a Kmart store in the ACT and saw this deal:
$149 for Optus Oppo AX5s Black (was $229); or; $100 for Optus Oppo AX5s Red (was $229), both models were launched in April 2019.
This deal is only available in store and is not available for click and collect or delivery.

The team member said that the last Red one is now sold out in his store, however other store in the ACT & NSW (Sydney and regional) do have them in stock and to ring the store and to ask them to put it on hold for a few hours as they will not be restocked. Didn't ask about other states but the website show low availability in some MEL, BNE, ADL, & PER Stores.

Basic about phone: 6.2" Display, 3GB Ram, 64GB internal Storage (expandable with Micro-SD Card), 4230mAh Battery.

The Phone is Locked to Optus. However, in my experience if you use a sim that runs on the Optus network it should work in the phone (think Amaysim, Catch etc). To unlocked the phone for another network (i.e. Telstra or Vodafone) you can pay a fee $80 for under 6 months ownership; or $25 for over 6 months ownership, look at Optus website for more info on this.

Good luck.

  • Kmart refused to hold for an hour WA

  • Weren't these $49 the other week?

  • From experience with several Optus Oppo's, they are free to unlock, just chat with them online and you'll either get the code right away or wait a few days.

The only problem with the Oppo's is they do not support 850Mhz, (OPTUS version) so will not work with telstra even if unlocked.

  • These are now down to $45 for the Red variant and $129 for the Black variant, both at KMart.
