  Wouldn’t 1st gen be painfully slow even to start up?

  I tried using my iPad 2 a few years back, it was so slow it was not useable and any task!

    Depends why she wants it, but not really? The cameras for example are vastly superior on the pro.

    Magic keyboard and Apple pencil 2 are supported on Pro.
