That's worrying. I've bought 3 keys that I've meant to save up for the school holidays.
For what it's worth, I bought 30 keys last time and they all worked - despite some reporting that the key was already redeemed. When that error occurs, my subscription date still updates.
I just bought 10 of this deal. Every one is giving me the error that code has already be redeemed, but my subscription date is updating. So far so good (only up to the 3rd one though).
EDIT: All 10 ended up working. YMMV of course.
I had similar, my dates didn't update.
I had to try again with the ones that failed later. I had to take not which ones.

Do these subscription allow you to claim games with gold?
Yes. Game Pass Ultimate includes Live Gold membership, plus access to EA Play games as well. However, EA Play games will no longer be available once your membership expires.
you need an active subscription to play the gold games on xbox one, you can't just claim them and then play them once the subscription lapses (except for 360 games - those are yours to keep).

nah it's been this way for years now unfortunately. I think you used to have them but at some point years ago they copied Sony on this and now you only have the 360 games in your library permanently.
It is made more clear in recent dash updates, now when you go to "My Games and Apps" there is a section for Gold - ie games you got with Gold, and they are excluded from games you own.
Just purchased 5 codes only 3 worked the other 2 had already been used. So buyer beware!!!
It will be hit and miss with the codes it seems, too much hassle to chase paypal for the cost of the 2 codes.

I get the same error (after it thinks for about 30 seconds) but it seems to go through.
Check your subscription date. It’s an error code in the MS site most of the time. I had almost half my codes say that but every time I put a code in the actual length of my subscription had been extended. Check the sub expiry date, Redeem a code, then refresh your account page and check new expiry date.
Yeah can now confirm the subscription expiry date has updated by 5 weeks even though 2 codes had said they are already in use.

Sorry to everyone else, I bought Gold online once from some website and it said it was used and I had to go through MS support and screenshot their response before the website would give me a new code. So shit definitely happens, but I'm 10 for 10 here, cheers OP.

Just bought 10 and they all worked. In addition to the 30 I bought last time that's 40 keys total from Eneba that have worked.
You do get the odd error when entering some keys, but if you leave your services & subscription page open in another tab you can refresh that after each key to confirm it's updating regardless of the 'key already used' message.
FWIW adding to the above, 10 for 10 for activation.
