  • Got excited thinking it was the latest model.

  • Great find. Picked up two sets for the parents/in laws.

I have the 2s and have some 2 Pros coming from Aliexpress. Love them.

    • -1

I heard lots of bad things about aliexpress, have you been using them for awhile? Are you able to use PayPal as a payment method?

      • +1

Yes you can now use PayPal at Aliexpress

        • +1

Use PayPal once on AliExpress, show up as cash advance, never again.

          • @Richardc: That may happen if you use the "send money" function through paypal. If you simply make a purchase using paypal, it shouldn't come up as cash advance.

          • @Richardc: Do not know your case, but I used PayPal and all good.

          • +1

@Richardc: Yep happened to me too I questioned my bank and PayPal, neither could satisfactorily explain why it only happened with AliExpress. Suffice to say I no longer use PayPal or AliExpress…

      • +7

I've been using Aliexpress since 2017. Hundreds of orders since then and I pay direct with credit card.

      • +3

I've bought alot of things from Aliexpress, the two things that ive had a problem was with a watch that just stopped and something else that never showed. Both of which after submitting return requests were refunded almost immediately and the money was back in my account the following day. Paypal wasnt an option at the time nor was it required to feel safe using the platform.

        • +2

Ok thank you for you input, so many things I want to purchase from there just really unsure about giving them my card details. Have a great weekend

          • +1

@Boxcuttahz: $4 billion dollar company, who have better customer service than eBay. They are not out to steal your credit card details.

            • +5

@Quarn: customer service and dispute resolution process is a joke. im far more confident buying from ebay

              • @franco cozzo: Does ebay even have a dispute resolution process? I just always used the paypal dispute resolution because the only thing ebay will do is let me leave a negative review.

                • +2

@ialam99: the point is paypal stipulates that you must try to resolve the dispute through aliexpress prior to making a paypal claim. the aliexpress dispute resolution process is sh!t & a drawn out pain in the ass

if you have an issue on ebay you can automatically put in a paypal claim / dispute..its so much more straight forward

            • +2

@Quarn: True, fair point. Just feel alot secure using PayPal payment that's all

          • @Boxcuttahz: read up on some aliexpress reviews before you take the plunge

        • +1

Agree with the other comments regarding confidence (they're fine and when things don't show, they refund instantly), but be aware shipping is generally slow, particularly at the moment. You're generally talking in months, but if it's not urgent, so what…
If the cards worry you at all, use a virtual card. I have a dedicated virtual card for Aliexpress in the Revolut app. If you do have an issue, you can disable that card (technically it's a token) without impacting your other arrangements.

          • @cletus75: Awesome thank you for the advice I'll look into that account. Would be alot safer if it's only virtual. I'll try to purchase a couple of items to see how things go and :)

          • @cletus75: Is the Standard Plan enough or does it only gets started with Premium?

            • @NGPriest: I think it needs the premium these days. Fairly sure you used to get 1 or 2 virtual cards on the standard, but no single-use cards. But a quick look at their site doesn’t suggest they do that anymore. I liked it and upgraded to premium - but that was much more appealing when I was travelling internationally. Not so much these days!

i got ripped off late last year…small amount but i wasnt going to lose anymore money to dodgy overseas sellers
the dispute process is a joke. zero customer service, zero communication
only way i was able to get any remedy was to involve paypal who found in my favour. lucky for me i had ample evidence
i wont buy anything from there again, its not worth the 'savings' if its hit or miss on whether youll recieve an item and the dispute resolution process is a pain even with paypal

        • So we're you able to pay via PayPal on the aliexpress website? I can purchase the same things on Amazon but it's alot more expensive that these guys hence why I'm interested in trying it out. But if they're dodgy like all the reviews say, no point chasing the saving for a headache

          • @Boxcuttahz: yes you can pay with paypal but if there is a problem you will have to deal with the aliexpress dispute resolution process before you put in a claim.
the paypal website stipulates this when you go to put in a refund claim….
so basically i had to (profanity) around for 6-8 weeks with aliexpress / dodgy seller / crappy dispute resolution procedure, which didnt resolve anything at all
before i could even put in a paypal claim.

            • +1

@franco cozzo: Thank you Franco, in which case I'll just stick with the ebay and Amazon. Not worth the saving with aliexpress just to go through all that headache

    • +1

Do you have a camera every 2 square meters?

  • +4

they're price matching the out of stock officeworks listing:

    edit: OW link https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/eufy-secur…

so thank you amazon algorithmic price matching

  • +1

Not adding to the cart anymore

  • This looks like a price error on OW site. You click on the 3 pack and its $598 and the 4 pack is $349. So pricing was mixed up between the 2

  • Great price. I've been eyeing off the plus edition from Bunnings for awhile, but for this price very tempted. Eufy model number sucks for comparing.

    • Bugger it, at this price. Bought

      Thanks op

  • Got this woo

Can these cams connect to the homebase from wireless doorbell?

    • +2

Yes absolutely I have that setup.

      • hows the signal on wireless cameras? where did you place your homebase unit. Saw some video on jbhifi and it shows weak signals in video. Does any of your camera show a weak signal?

  • +1

thanks OP, bought some more stuff that i am not sure i need. Love OB. Great deal.

  • Looks like its sold out now.

    • I still see add to cart

  • Got one few min ago.. looks like good deal. Thanks op

  • can't add to cart. did Amazon block this because of price error?

  • Can't add to cart either. Tried buying options as well

  • The party’s over. 😥

  • Oh no - had it in the cart and to payment screen - did some more research and now not available from this seller :(

    Lesson learned

  • How does it able to store 4x3 months of recording with just 16gb of card? Even with 128gb sd card it seems unlikely.

    • Motion activation. When there's no movement it's not recording, saving battery and storage space.

  • +1

Managed to order it just literally 5 sec ago. Keep trying guys

    • Got one too!

    • Your right just checked it’s back!!

  • Showing as $600+ for me?

    • If you click, show from other sellers, you'll see it there for 349

    • back in stock.

    • I think it's defaulting to sellers that can deliver it earlier. I got one from Amazon AU for 349 but delivery in early March.

  • Got one. I think. Lol

Thanks OP. Been looking at these for a while.

  • Working again

  • +2

Bought, now to work out what I just bought and was it worth it

    • finger crossed?

  • +1

So much better than the Arlo

    • I agree swapped from Arlo to this and AP 2 around double the price of this for similar system on special.

    • just sold my Arlo HD hope this is better

  • Missed 😐

  • All the buying options are showing at ~$650 for me.

There'll be more options in the future any how

    • Me too 😕

    • If you can beat the ebay store owners that is….

  • +1

Wanted these…I gotta get up earlier:(

  • +2

Bought 1, now I gotta buy a ladder to install them.

  • great security system, app is good too, price is fantasic. buy rating.

  • Thanks OP, missed it first time, kept trying and it came back so managed to snag one

  • +1

Can these be setup with synology?

  • Out of stock…..anyone else selling at $350?

  • Is it any good?

    • +5

      Buy first, ask questions later.

      • But it's OOS. The answer defines whether i bother to keep checking it throughout the day.

  • +4

Mods having a sleep in ;)

  • Good price.

  • How does this compare to D-Link Omna Wire-Free Indoor & Outdoor Camera Kit?

  • Helps when brodens buy up big for their ebay stores….

  • +1

    Noooooo missed it

  • Thanks OP got 1

  • i missed out.
is this still a good price for this product or should i wait?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Eufy-Security-Pack-Homebase-T8832C…

    • Next best price available for now I guess…

    • +1

A bit cheaper if you can wait a month:
      https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001310004421.html

      • That's only for one camera at the bottom of the text, even though the picture shows pack with 3 cameras. I don't know if anyone can verify the number of cameras in the pack.

EDIT - looking further down in the Q&A, it looks like the pack does contain 3 cameras.

  • +2

Great find OP. But too bad I missed out.

    • The same is here…

  • You don't need the home base if you already got it via indoor camera deal, right?

  • Nice find OP, missed out

  • Missed out 😤🥲

  • Too late :(

  • Excellent find OP. Just bought a 2 cam kit on Thursday. 4 Cam set for 349 sounds amazing.

  • +1

will the cameras run while being charged?

    • -1
